Thread: Mount Question

I'm pretty new to the CH profession. I have some pets that are suitable mounts but I don't have the "teach mount" skill yet. My question is can I get a MCH to teach my bantha the mount command and then him give it back to me or something? Just wondering. =)

Yes that will work just fine. He will train then give back to you and u can use it as mount.

What level do mountable pets start and stop being mountable? I tamed a brackaset male a couple of days ago (max level 30) but I don't have the train mount skill yet (currently 4433) and want to know how fast I'd have to get the xp for management 4 to mount it.

edit: anyone know if there's a BEAST guild on farstar?

the level at which a pet is trainable as a mount varies quite a bit depending on the pet

cl7 for a lesser dewback if memory servers, likewise for a lesser planes bol

giant carrion spats are trainable with mount as soon as you tame thme though other eim not too sure on as i cant ermber for tohse i have tamed already

I have a question regarding mounting pets.
Lets say I have a baby pet that has max level 14. And I mount it before it reaches over level 10.
Will pets stop in growth when mounted? Will other non-ch players be able to use it?
Since I've seen players handle baby pets before and being unable to use them when they grows over level 10.

Unfortunately, the answer is no

The only pet that has an option to "stunt growth" to be a mount is the giant carrion spat.

All other creatures will continue to grow to their full size even if they're trained as a mount.

So, you can't stop a pet at CL 10 so a non-CH can still call it. It will keep growing to CL 14 (sounds like a male kaadu to me!) whether you train it as a mount or not.

Sorry, just got Master CH last night and still kinda newbie at this.

What pets can be made into mounts? And do they need to be full grown or something?

I have a newly tamed brackaset male and can't make it into mount.

Also some guy wanted me to make hisdewback into a mount and I didn't get the option to do it on the train menu.

I did make a Wasteland Cu Pa and a mountain dewback into mounts earlier, but I think I had them from before the new CH changes went in.

Pets have to be grown to a certain level to take a saddle. Usually, the non CH wild caughts have to be level 8 of 10 to take mount training.

I believe there's a clicky with the list of pets that can be used as mounts.

There's also an issue with size of some of the pets. I've seen some level 5 stuff that will never get big enough to be mount trained. Some BE'd pets are too big to be mount trained.

Yup, that makes sense, I had a female brackaset that had rolled over four times and looked VERY close to lowland brack mount-trainable size, so the fifth cycle is the charm on the bracks.

How many cycles do I need to go through to tame my cu pa to be a mount? I have cycled it either five or six times and still no chance to make it a mount. Thanks in advanc for any info you can provide.
