Supposedly there are some subtle differences in the model we cannot see.

Supposedly. I can't imagine that the stripes would do it...but, you never know. It might be enough to make the graphics for the rein and saddle more of a problem, so it's not mountable.

Unless you are a wookie, you will need taming II (they have a 10 ferocity).

But there are lesser dewbacks, which you can have with NO ch.

I'm not going to tame the dewback I'm going to buy it. Do I still need taming 2?

I have 2 dewbacks that are not full grown (about 1/3 way), but I can train them as mounts. If I train them as mounts will it stop there growth at the current level they are at?

Thanks

no Training an animal that is normaly a CH pet does not stunt it's growth, it will continue to mature to adulthood with the animals CL so therefore when oyu want to call a second pet for combat you will be limited to the skills you have IE I can call a combination of CL 45 wich means to me a Graul Mauler and a CL 10 mount or any combination leading to CL 45.....

While it is true that CL 10 animals have less HAM then the rest it is safe to say that they are going to be more beificial.....

Also on a side note has anyone else noticed that the plodding Fam is faster then the other four legged mounts with almost 2X the ham???

The only pet which I'm aware of having the "stunt growth" option is the giant carrion spat and from what I understand the issue is related to graphics and the saddle/tack. People have said a number of things about it so I got one myself to see what happens to him.

Not that this comes up much with speeders available now, but is it possible for me to pull two say lvl 20 mounts, ride on myself and allow a non-ch group mate to ride the other? Thanks in advance for your response.

Good idea but I am afraid it won't work because the Non-Ch will not have the ability to handle a CL 20. Plus the game mechanics won't allow it. It would be the same thing as pulling out a Speeder and letting someone else ride it. Then again I could be wrong b/c I have never actually tested it. Who knows they may let Jedi use this trick because they are better Creature Handlers than us now!

No, its not possible . . . . wish it was. The "friend" command is supposed to work somewhat like that, making the pet listen to your friends regardless of the CH skill he has. I think people abused it though and that's why it doesn't work. I know I'd be perfectly happy with it only working for mounts, and the mount that your friend is on being on autofollow.
