Hmmm...

How 'bout making it a prerequisite to be BE + CH in order to do this? Would that change anything?

Great idea! Altho i'm a BE/CH

I have read and re-read this thread and pray that the opinions of the few flamers don't actually make it to the ears of the devs. For every person who posts on here saying they won't do this or that, there are 10 in the game who will. This board is for expressing ideas, turning one players suggestion into an ugly thread is worthless. Yes CH may be broke, but the players who are on here fighting to make it better must really love it... enjoy it, don't argue with ppl who don't.

Everything you say is far less important than anything you do.

What some people don't seem to be understanding is that there are quite a few CH's who became CH's because it was fun to go out and tame your own pet and watch him grow up. BE's have taken that all away. In response, CH's are asking that we get back some of the enjoyment we get taming our own pets without taking anything away from BE's. Nothing more then another stim you put on your vendor that we can use to enhance our pets as they grow up.

You bring up the other professions BE's craft for .. but you don't make chef food do you? no, you just enhance it. You don't make clothing, do you? .. No. You just enhance it. You don't make pets do you? .. Oh, you do? .. And you make them better then we can ever hope to find in the wild? .. and what? .. You don't make ANY products that enhance pets, you can only craft them?

....... hmm.

I am a MCH/MBE, I can understand both sides of the argument. I know how fun it is to tame pets. Most of my pets are ones I tamed, not ones I made. But regardless of that, if CHs could tame pets that were just as good (or could be made that way through some type of stim) as creatures that BEs could make, you might as well through half the BE lines out of the game because they just became useless. NO ONE is going to buy an item that isn't any better than one they can go out and get themselves for free. BEs aren't chefs, so they don't make food, they aren't tailors, so they don't make clothes, they are BEs, they DO make pets. That is the reason for the class. Two entire lines of the class dedicated to making creatures, one line dedicated to chef enhancers, tailor tissues, and pet stims and vitality packs, and the other line is for experimentation points. But because you want to be selfish, you think that another class should be ruined for your personal pleasure.

You claim that you want to enjoy taming without taking away anything from BEs, but your proposal would take away what little pet business there is. You claim you can't have any fun taming pets knowing there may be someone else out there with a better pet than you have, yet I have fun going out hunting for rares all the time. I think maybe you are just unhappy with being a CH in general. If you are so insistant on having the absolute best, either buy your pets, or drop CH altogether for the most recent flavor of the month.
