This is really starting to piss me off. I LOVE GSP's. I've got three named after Thundercats, pretty stupid I know, but still fun.
This sounds like the most absurd quest. For a Jedi????? Are you kidding? When I went to Talus looking to tame my GSP I must have killed 60 of 'em as a 2221 rifleman. What a joke.
In the past I've been quiet and tried to respect the Dev's time/budget constraints, and everyone wanting everything, but this was a really bad idea. How does this fly by a whole team and no one realizes what we did in about 6 hours of it going live.
I don' t get it

this is not just going on on Talus. Rori is desolate as is most all of the other planets. Wild Spawns are simply not spawning.
On Starsider a good avian meat has shifted in, however vir virs and rasps are the only things u can harvest to get it. guess what. vir virs are a wild spawn only and rasps are hardly worth the time to get missions for. i have spent days looking for a wild spawn and none are 2 be found.
since they put in the village and pub 10, spawns are borked on most all planets.
good luck in finding anything :/

Yes i havent been to talus recently but i periodically go to Rori because i have a house there, and i have yet to EVER see a natural mob. I'm talking for a month and a half i have been able to run across the planet and not see any mobs. SOMETHING is really screwed up with the planets and i wish they would actually try and do something about it. I bugged rori a month ago and i've still never seen a difference. I'm on Starsider.

Contrary to what that one CSR said, I think it's broke. Any SOE people reading this?No way would they make the not so popular planets even less popular. The POI's are even empty? Not on purpose. What would be the reason?

Talus is a ghost planet on Naritus as well. I ran from the Imp outpost to Durbin and saw maybe a half dozen low levelspawns in the enitre round trip. One was regular sludges, which is what I was after, but it never respawned after I took out the originals.

Well, I planning on going out there and getting another GSP. So much for that idea.

Resources: Fixed a problem where resources spontaneously transformed into different resources. Unfortunately, all resources that have been changed in this way are unrecoverable. We do understand what this means to many of you and we apologize for the inconvenience.
Talus: The creature spawning rate on Talus should be back to normal.

Hmmm, I find this quite interesting considering that the spawn on Talus was "working as intended". None the less, I am very happy about it and can't wait to head to Talus tonight to find a new GSP baby.

I think that this is not the only spawn affected. I play a MCH on starsider, and recently we had a good spawn of Rori Avian meat. Swgcreatures.com lists vir vur as having avian meat, so I went to Rori to harvest some. Not only were there no vir vur spawns, but in about 6 hours of gameplay, the only wild spawns that I saw were tortons and Purgos, absolutely nothing else.
A discussion began in planetary chat stating that noone was seeing any spawns anywhere on the planet. Several days later the situation is the same.
This makes me wonder if they are affecting these sort of spawns in an attempt to limit the resources to make good buffpacks. Several hours of harvesting the level 6 birds on this planet only netted me about 4k meat. All the rest of the avian meat on our server is only mediocre to very poor quality.

Jeffn vistited the lost village of Durbin today, and there was nothing there. No sludge panthers of any type.No lesser, no medium, and no greater sludge panthers. It was empty.
The only place he saw mobs of any kind (and admittedly he was zipping around in an AV-21) was newbie mobs around Nashaul. He came on planet at the Imperial Outpost, went up to grab the Imp vs. Reb battle badge, went south again to check a harvester, then headed straight to Durbin, and from there to Nashaul. Nothing at all.
In contrast, on Dathomirover the weekend, there were mobs galore, even as he zipped to the Village on his speederbike.
If it is "working as intended" that now greater sludge panthers are scarce to non-existent as yet another means of controlling the Jedi population (that is, another dispicable covert "goal post" movement by the developers), then it's time to get serious about cancelling accounts again. I don't know how much more of this casual contempt of players on the part of SOE I can take.
it is the W.W.F. secret operations to protect all cats from kitty killers. they are doing this by hiding all gsp in a non disclosed location and lagging the crap out of talus in the process to scare everyone away

Woohoo! Been to Talus and it's PACKED full of creatures! Got my Greater Sludge Panther and a normal Sludge Panther! Saw alot of GSP about, but took a while before a baby appeared. I kept looking for dead logs, they spawn the GSP (plus other beasties).
I was on my way back to Drearic (sp?) and I saw more GSP, andgreen dot next to them, there it was, ababy! Tamed first go
did you do this right at server startup?

Unsure, maybe, don't really know. I hadn't been on for a few hours so it's quite possible.
