I'm only a 1-1-0-0 CH, but had a great time last night with my first experience with the GSP. I travelled about 2km NW of Dearic and after wandering around a while and getting chased by aggros, I stumbled on a GSP lair. There were 4 adults and I approached them carefully while activating maskscent. I hit the closest one with a bleeding/health shot combo and then /burstran like hell. The GSP stopped chasing after about 100m and I cautiously returned to find that 2 babies had spawned and were sitting right beside mom. I crept up right beside all of them and started to/tame. After about 5 attempts each, I tamed them both. At this point, I just wanted to get back to Dearic as soon as possible, so I initiated a melee attack on the mother (I have no unarmed skills, so you can imagine how ineffective it was). All four adults swarmed me as I let them give me a quick trip back to the Dearic cloning facility =P. I know a lot of you regularly tame much higher level creatures than this, but for me it was a great experience and is making me reconsider my BH aspirations (am a 0-1-1-0 BH) and possibly pursue CH full time.

I know what you mean... It is a rush to do it.

It only gets better. Crawl up to a nest of Merek Assasins or Grauls. Its the same feeling every time for me. I keep one slot open all the time just so I can sneak into a lair of whatever I see that could eat me alive and tame a baby out from under a pack.

My best to date is a Graul Mauler, but look forward to Rancor and and more.

I really want to tame an Ewok and name him Stumpybacca, but oh well I guess I will have to live without that one for now.

My fun one so far was a Crimson Razor Cat baby. There I am in the midst of a pride sweating bullets hoping like crazy the tame works before the maskscent gets broke or wears of. I got lucky and now have a little guy growing up nicely.

Gratz. That's the first thing I did when I was 1/1/0/0. Now see if you can find a Grand Wrix baby. They usually spawn with Mottled Wrixes and they can be a fun challenge.

The day before, I tamed a Grand Wrix just SW of Tyrena. That was fun also.

In reply to CreatureHandlerRiflemanAtrisan, sometimes people just like to post their positive experiences. The reason for the post was nothing more than that =D. Thanks for reading it!

Heh, I had a very similar experience, but, I couldn't tame the baby (only 1/0/0/0)! I use /areatrack with Tracking I from Ranger. It tells me the general direction. Well 4 GSPs pop up on my window (no babies) so I go check them out hoping there would be a lair. There was a lair. I wait a couple of minutes, still no babies. It becomes painfully obvious that I'd have to hit the lair to get the babies to come out. I'd have a hard time handling 1 GSP with my male kaadu much less 4 so I get a good distance away and send in my kaadu to shake up the lair. Worked like a charm. Before he was incapped he had shook out4 more GSPs and a baby.

Again too bad I couldn't tame it (lousy cryptic . But, it was nice to know that I could use one of my pets to flush out lairs without having to get my hands dirty.

Would anyone know a good way to find these other than walking around Talus aimlessly, any hot spots? Thanks in advance.

South East of the Imp base, distances upward of 1500m have been good to me. they seem to like the waterside spots.

You a medic. Your time would be better spent looking for Grand Wrix. They make better pets, simpe fact, GSP have no armor, spend your day healing them. GW, have light armor, actually can solo better with them IMHO.
