Sorry to interrupt, just curious.
What is the "Ranger thing" you were talking about? I've been looking all over and I can't figure out what it is. Did I miss something?
Thanks!

On the note of trusting the devs. I actually do not know who is responsible for the direction that the dev team takes in this game so I do not like to say the dev's did it. everyone has a teamleader or boss that lays out the direction they must follow. I will say that even though I'm playing SWG, I will not play EQII or any other SOE game because of their general apathy toward this games community and what said community wants to see in the game.
........ also moons, as for running over everything I mean ch was used to make far to uber a char for far to little work. It may have been a balanced nerf if the powers that be had not sit on there collective buts for a year before completing the swing of the bat. Strrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiikkkkkkkke, ch you're outa there !! but, but, what about those guys, Dont worry
we'll get to them real soon now. hahahahahahaha.

Paks, the "Ranger thing" is that Calc told us that nothing is changing for Ranger with the combat balance.

/hug Thanks
I think what Calc was saying with that statement is that the combat balance will not be a Ranger revamp. We sent him to the Summit with a HUGE list of stuff to cover and he probably wanted to let us know that no, camps are not getting fixed, no, we are not getting stealth, so dont be dissapointed when the CB comes out. The combat balance will affect EVERYONE that does any type of combat, but it won't fix some of the Ranger-specific issues.
Anyway, you probably heard thisall from Lantyssa already!

IF there is any inference being drawn it is more along the lines that "Calc and Vert were told the same things". Once choose one path and the other the opposite.
Not condemning anyone mind you, but stating what the facts are. Keeping my personal opinion out of this thread on that.

Sky,
I can agree with those changes. I think the majority of the community has, and it could be infered as implied consent since many whom post on the boards also agree.
But....
If CH gets changed in such a way that CH's Creatures or Our style of combat is changed without our consent I have a real problem, and know for a fact others will as well.
sadnebula, I agree with last post entirely. No new SOE games for me. The initial game ssytem pays for the Development. I will not be part of a break even margin or paying another Dev until this game gets fixed. JTL will rot on the shelves before I buy it. Also, I can agree that parts of the nerf were needed, they went too far and waited way to long to finish. We will get to SOE soon if ALL CH were to avoid JTL.

I shouldn't post before 7am. I haven't had time to take out my morning grumpiness on my fellow Boston drivers yet.
Insert grumpiness here and you will get the gist of my post. I much prefer sending PMs and being grumpy in person anyway.

As much as you possibly can please read what is not said in an open frame of mind, then post your thots. This is from Dvnce's post in the architect forum.
On Combat....
Once it is released in official details you will see as to why it has taken so long to get this revamp out.. This will be a huge and major change to how combat is done in SWG.. I am really excited for these changes for it is definatly what this game needs in that area. A few areas that I can touch on is that the focus is definatly on balance and incorporating true group roles in both the PvP and PvE arena. As well as making a smooth meshing between profession roles that you may want to combine.... Yes that means there will no longer be One Uber Template, but instead any profession combination will have its advantage.. Also Tactics will be key.. No longer will it be who has the best Gear.. ( yes they will have an advantage but they will not have an automatic I win button ) and Lastly .. Any profession that directly or indirectly impacts Combat is addressed in these changes...
