Don't let that bother you... Players will allways run away if they see that they have to wait a bit... but most of them come again to see if you or another ID are free. Just accept the fact that migrating stats takes it time and relax.

Here is a good change.

Add NPC IDs to the game that work just like trainers or vendors.

I start a conversation, ask for what I want, pay a fee, wait, and I'm done.

I barely have the time to play the game period, as I am sure most people feel, and I don't want to have to rely on PCs only for this service.

I totally understand why people are not willing to wait, and why does it have to take longer than it does to converse with a trainer.

After all, it is just a game.

I have been wondering why it takes so long, then I realized that you could really exploit the entertainer buffs by migrating all your mental stats as high as you can then getting your buff and then migrate them back to fighting levels after buffing. You can still do this now, but is it really worth the time it would take.

5 mins would seem appropriate otherwise, just as you here very few shuttle wait complaints since they dropped them from 10 to 5 mins. In order to do this, they would need to remove the % relationship between entertainer buffs and their original stat. Maybeas part ofthe combat rebalance we can get the time reduced if bufs get changed.

The longest line I had was 1 hour and 50 mins... It was soo bad I was taking extra credits to jump the lineups and cutting the quick changes in first. My stupulation ofr lineup is you had to stay in the group so I knew where the customer was... One lady was bumbed 3 times case she was afk. she stuck it out though!

As for Ui bug.. tell the people to /sit then /logout This gives you enough time to bolt out the door.

10 mins? No biggie.. charge$$ it makes the time go by faster when you double count the credits.

After having played as an Image Designer for almost a week (not long I know, but I have helped a lot of people) and looking on this board, I was wondering how many of the changes mentioned in various posts are actually going to happen.

The way I see it is, there are a few very annoying things that need to be fixed. Such as :

-The 10 minutes needed for stat migration (I have lost many customers because of this)

-the armor bug (the customer can't see their face)

-trying to end the session after the customer is AFK or has LD, if you have already accepted

These are the most annoying and I just wanted to know if anything will be done about them

Also almost everyone I Image Design asks about tattoos, is that going to happen?

I know all of this has already been asked, but I would like to know the current situation so I can inform my customers

Definitely those are among the worst. All three are ones that the devs have said at one point or another they'd like to look into. Unfortunately, like most other professions, we probably won't be seeing any tweaks until sometime after JTL comes out. I'm semi retired at this point but still talking to (or at usually, poor things) the devs about potential changes for the future. Once TH replaces me I'll be sure our new corr is all caught up

D'you think people would complain if it was 1000 xp and 5 minutes for Stat Migrations? I know working through the profession is frustrating for people anyway so this wouldn't help it much, but it might help customer relations.

Though of course if they left it at 2000 xp, I don't think many people would complain ...

/sarcasm on

Sure thing... in fact, let'sjust do away with IDs altogether! Plus, your "idea" can be expanded... how about NPC "Doctors" that can buff people so they don't have to stand in long lines? or NPC "Smugglers" to slice our stuff for us? or NPC Dancers and Musicians etc... You get the idea.

/sarcasm off

Seriously, I don't believe that I have seen any idea worse than yours offered up on this forum. Did you just come here to insult us? I see that you have only made 3 posts... all on the ID Forum... and all 3 with the same asinine suggestion.

at first i didn't like the changes at the end of ROTJ (by the way the old unrecognizable dude is Sebastian Shaw) but the more i thought about it the more it made sense, you know anakin before he was corrupted by the dark side and truly became one with the force. I still guess I haven't decided on my opinion yet, but getting rid of Vader's eyebrows when he takes the helmet off, good call Lucas. Lol

I have played SWG for over a year that is until about 6 months ago and I finally left

because of all the unfulfilled promises that were given by SOE. I started to play EQ2 in the

time I was away from SWG, which is a good game but I see it being another SOE game has it's

short comings also. Now I want to come back to what I consider to be one of the best games

around but I'm not sure if things have changed for the better. With the change that came

with the CU are things better over all? Did they really fix most of the things that were

broken since the beginning in the last 6 months? How has the changes affected the

Entertainers in SWG? better or worse? I see the entertainers got a few new songs and dances

but all of that is cosmetic and from what I have read they haven’t gotten rid of the AFK

player (which is really sad). I was a master Musician/Rifleman when I left and would love to

come back home but not if nothing has changed or it has changed for the worst. I won’t come

back home to a broken house not ever. I know that if I come back to be a master musician

that it might be harder to achieve with the removal of mind wounds but I think that I can

still achieve the master rank with a little work as it should have been from the beginning.

I was talking to an Ent in Theed today who had been playing for 2 days, I got the impression she had already completed the Ent healing line and was stillworkingonDancing 3. I cannot say if my impression is true though. I personally think that the lot of Ents post CU is at least no worse than pre-CU, it may even have improved slightly.

Having a Combat/Non-Combat template may well mean that you are less effective at combat than you would like to be how much less effective is yet I am not entirely sure.

If you want to give it a whirl, subscribe fr a month, you can always cancel if you do not enjoy it.

Even if healing is not the slow XP for entertainers, the fact that a max group is 8 will limit the amount of music and dance XP coming in to about 60% of what it was before in a full group. This does not even include bonuses for people listening which will be reduced to 40% of previous levels due to the listeners now being spread among more groups.

Oh and we have lost 2 of our functions and only gained one to replace it so far. The one we lost and was not replaced was also the one we could control.

Yes experience comes slower now, I've dropped all my combat and am going to add dancer to my skills so I'm feeling it. I am lucky that my stored healing got me all but 1 box of the two heal trees but I'm seeing healing xp pretty regularly so it doesn't look to be that bad.

With no combat you are really vulnerable thanks to the level system, with mixed templates it isn't as bad as expected. Just find friends or guildmates to hunt with and group. You get to take on higher content since you are damaged at a rate equivelant to the highest level person in the group. As an example my level 48 combat toon took 60 points of damage from a level 50 mob while group with a level 80 player and 570 damage when ungrouped.

The profession as a whole is more fun now. The cantinas aren't as full of AFK zombies, although there are still a few FS grinders. There isn't near as much spam in the cantinas. There are no "buff plz" shouts anymore. You can RP and enjoy yourself much more now. Also our functions work and are not nearly as bugged or flakey as the combat professions. We also don't lag out the universe with cute graphics every time we do a flourish like combat specials do now. It is nice to know we aren't based on fantasy magic spells like the rest of the SWG universe has become. Oh and when my combat toon gets ready to club a mob with his rifle butt his arm's motor starts winding up. It is an interesting sound for a muscular action.

So over all its not significantly different mechanically, has a lot more potential from an RP point of view, and absolutely zero income potential so either already have credits stocked away or have good friends.
