But that still doesn't make sense. If you get max creature levels 45 at taming 3.... I'm sooooo confused............

Ok then. What's the max lvl for a creature I can use at 3/4/0/0 when not a wookie?

You can use CL 45 non agro creature, though there aren't too many of those. Other than that your best bet is a Delirious Merek Avenger (40) and Graul Maulers are always popular.

Does the new expansion mean that if i do all the stupid missions to tame lvl 80 pets that I will be able to call my gnarled rancor that went from lvl 48 to 79 with the CU?

I spent all of yesterday on dath west of the potpost, south of the science outpost and was only able to see two lairs south of the science post. I hit one but only Ancient bull rancors came out the other one was too crowded to even try. After more then 10 hours I gave up and went back to Corellia.
