Can a Zabrak with taming 3 and training 3 tame and use a gnarled rancor? I tried searching and couldn't findthe answer.

hello im at 3-3-1-3 in CH and i heard from a master CH that i could prob tame a gnarled rancor right now at my level, but because they are aggressive i wasnt too sure...can someone tell me if i can tame one now or what ill need to have to tame one? thanx

You lack the training to controll such a beast. You need at least 3/4/x/x or any variation that would allow you to have 45 pet levels out in the field. And you probably need taming 4, unless you are a wookiee.

i know im almost to training IV so by the time its full grown ill be able to have it, its cl 45 being that i could tame it at taming III , but it is aggressive so i just wanted to know before i scour the land looking for them to be rejected..:-/

You cant tame it at taming 3 unless you are a wookiee. Its a very aggressive beast. Sorry, but its really the only perk us wookiees get.

I've been running around Dath for the past several hours. I've been concentrating on the area west of the trade outpost but haven't seen any rancors... any kind at all. Am I in the wrong area? Thanks.

Try west of the Dathomir Outpost. Thats where I got my two babies.

Hmm that's where I've been for the past several hours. I haven't run across a single rancor.

I spent all of yesterday on dath west of the potpost, south of the science outpost and was only able to see two lairs south of the science post. I hit one but only Ancient bull rancors came out the other one was too crowded to even try. After more then 10 hours I gave up and went back to Corellia.

What do you need in order to CALL a Gnarled Rancor. CL 45?

Then how come I can pull a GSP lvl 23, and a Grand Wrix lvl 22, equaling lvl 45, but not one Gnarled Rancor?

Because you need enough taming to have the CL for a single big pet. Or you might have something like when I was 3/3/1/4 which gave me CL 45 total so I could call a GSP and GW but not a gnarled rancor because I needed the extra agro control.
