So if you were designing the ultimate reward untamable creature, what would itsCL be like and what body type would it have? Would it be something you could group with one or two other pets (i.e. CL 35 or CL 23), or something to be used by itself (CL 60+)?

It would be a cl 70 creature

I would personally like to see it as a Krayt dragon with appropriate stats for a lvl 70 creature. I would like to see the creature also have medium armor and over 600 dmg with above average resists. Specials would be plague strike and open wounds.

Here are some other ideas.

This isa GREAT idea! I love it. The thing is this is to great an idea for the DEV's to ever implement it in game. they just will not listen to the players for content. Basically the SOE DEV's just suck. I really hope LucasArts takes over this game after JTl and then listens to the players and implements some of these great ideas!

I can see it now we will get:

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Rabid Krabhu

Medium Armor
Mountable
Flies on Command
Blinds
And drops disease in midflight

A CL70 would be ideal, it would insure only MCH could use it at least and act as a MCH incentive. It would be a medium sized creature, no larger then a large cat (Grand Wrix, GPS, etc). Overwhelming size has a nice awe effect, but all it does is really hinder combat by getting in the way of you or your team in one way or another. Considering you used the word "Ultimate", I will insist the creature having no less then a medium armor rating and at least resists on par with other CL70 cretures. Special attacks could include a good knockdown and/or dizzy combo or a poisen/diesase mix, though I would it expect it to be according to the body composition of the creature. It would be prefered if the creature was mountable, again, making the large cat body style an option (considering my Grand Wrix stands as tall as I do as a Zabrak.) but would really be more style points then anything else.

One of my guildies laid out an idea that sounded pretty good. I'm playing off the idea of being able to control an Acklay along with a Jabba factional quest. This same idea could work for a pet armor schematic.

Maybe not the best thread for this, but it's what I came up with and I won't remember it after this.

A Geonosian device (the geos could tame them, but barely control them) that can be implanted in a creature to allow control beyond the normal viscious limitations. The pieces arebased on random spawns and fixed quests gathered and completed through the course of Jabba's quests. This culminates in a final uberquest (or as a developing side quest)to get the last piece, and assemble the device. Jabba can then "copy" the device and allow you to keep the original as a reward.

1) Droid engineers and bioengineers have to collaborate to assemble the device in modules. The modules must then be assembled into a finished unit. Interdependency on other professions in maintained. Armorsmiths, Artisans, Archtects, weaponsmiths, whatever. Someone to craft it.

2) A Doc has to implant it in the field. (more interdependency)

3) Only an MCH with the taming remote can control the creature.

4) Successfully completing the quest grants a special title (Beastmaster, for lack of imagination)

5) This should be somewhere on the difficultylevel of RIS armor, so we dont get a FOTM CH surge, or set ourselves up for another nerf.

Problems:

1) FOTM.

2) Fixing spawn rates so ubercritters will spawn in non-predictable places, and be allowed tameable status.

3) Critical fails would suck hard.

This sounds awesome to me... great design for an MMO-style "epic quest."

If you post please write

If you would do this quest if was to become available

Um Hell ya my main toon got trained by the hutt Rancor tamer Malakili himself (or my bio used to say that)

What you like about this quest

What isn't there to like. It fits in the story perfectly, Jabba liked to collect things, the rancor was such an unusual present he nearly busted a mucus gland.

What if anything do u think needs to be improved on this proposed quest

I think the monetary rewards might need to be scaled back a little (getting a reward in the millions is unheard of, though granted these are some pretty tough tames).

The reward item "trophies" (skulls, skins, etc) is something Rangers have been wanting as a craftable... I don't think they'd be happy about trophies being Creature Handler loot.

I'd actually kind of like to see you physically give the baby to Malakili (causing it to leave your datapad). That would make the missions feel more "real" and believable (Jabba is hiring you to get arena creatures for him... but he doesn't care if you don't actually deliver them?). You'd just have to make sure the rewards are appropriately tempting so you'll want to hand over the pet.

What you said!
