Enigma,
I would not do this quest just for a rare, trophy, or money. I would do this quest if it added something more to my PvE experience.
I like the Quest as adding to End Game for CH. Or as an Epic Quest.
What needs to be changed? I am not sure changed but I do have questions.
1) The only rewarding part of the game, at least egotistically is taming. This quest seems purely based on taming Rares and rewarding for that. Previous statements other posts have always warned against detracting from that experience. Why does the one part that works need greater rewards when people state over and over it is rewarding in and of itself?
2) Will this be instanced missions or will there be no change from the current method of seeking Rares? This leads to:
3) If the person gets a 10 mill reward plus keeps the pet then they effectively have gotten a 20 million reward.
4) If the mission is instanced and the tame is virtually guaranteed then rares become not so rare. If rares become not so rare then the money is exceeds the market value after the first week.
5) As an after thought I would rather the rares be required as a turn-in. As to not take away from owning a rare itself. People who have earned them deserve the right to say they tamed them when there was no reward. This has always been the stance of many who have opposed Breeding Rares or Adult Tames. I cannot see it rationally argued that it can change now just because it benefits the tamer himself.
SIDE NOTES:
Opening similiar missions to Rangers who may act as advanced scouts would be nice. And maybe a great way to protect any trophy rewards for both classes. Where they find the babies would be meaningless for them to accomplish their mission. But they would sight them and return back and forth much like we would afer a tame. Of course, the babies would need some work. Maybe a CONVERSE tab that would update their mission.

I'm only half way to master, but this is a great idea!
As for the money is concerned, you would have to make it worth a trainer's while not to sell the pet to someone else. I mean, what would a player pay for a GPS? (I know everybody can't use them)
The only thing is, you have to ask yourself if there were rewards for getting these pets, would that make more people hunting for them, thus making it harder to find one available? I don't know (still a novice) But it would have to be a one time reward thing. You couldn't have people just capturing Rancor for cash to earn a living I don't think.
I like the idea though. Let's hope it comes into play. By then, I should me Master CH

Would first like to say that you can either keep the pet of sell it Mallikili for the credits. You still get the badges and the trophy but it is optional to sell the creature.
1. This isnt made up entirely of rare pets as for my examples I put on webmaster, rancor, gaping Hunter, etc. The reason why the rare creatures are there is the degree of difficulty increases as the quest continues and what better way to do that then putting the rarest pets at the top.
2. There will be no change in how rares are found and there will be no wps provided as to where to find the rare creatures. You will have to use your hunting skills to find the creatures.
4. There is no change in how hunting for rares continues. You still need to go out and find the creature and the probabilities for finding remains the same. I would like to add that by keeping it this way this would be a true test to proving certain pets actually spawn babies such as the Frenzied Graul. This quest would hopefully fix all spawns that are bugged.
5. I dont want to make it a requirement to actually turn in the pet and like it where it is optional to sell the pet if you chose too. What the creature handlers gets from this quest is not only a wonderful pet but recognition through the badges and trophies for completing it.
I have focused this quest on just creature handlers. I could think of ways that other professions such as scout or bio engineer could also participate in such a quest but for that will have to ponder for awhile.

Enigma,
Thanks that eases some concerns. As long is it it not instanced, then rares stay rare. The complexity the further you get along, I understood that.
Turn in being optional is great as long as the rewards stay "trivial" animal skin rug, skull, etc. If the turn is is optional and one still gets 10 million credits then the economy becomes overly inflated and we spiral into a world of nerfs much later.

Just noticed this post, how did I miss it? Great ideas! Absolutely I would do this quest.
- I agree with others that monetary amounts are a bit high, but then I understand we're just brainstorming. Still, 10 million would be a strong incentive to sell a rare.
- Including Rangers/Scouts and BEs is a good idea, but then I am a Ranger
Not sure how it would work for Rangers, but their reward could be unique trophies or schematics to make...whatever. As for BEs maybe they can make a creature using tissue sampled only from rares? Or a series of creatures increasing in difficulty (based on whatever would be difficult for a BE)?
- Either/Or: we can sell the pet to Jabba or keep it and receive some sort of badge. So, we would have to choose between bragging rights of having a badgeor havinga significant monetary reward.
- I really like the idea of an "untamable creature" as reward. If we actually are able to tame an ultra-rare, we can trade it in for a unique pet that would only be available from Jabba?

I have though of what would make the ultimate prize for successful completion of this quest
1. A untamable creature.
2. A specially designed ch building schematic
3. A ring that will allow the user to tame one adult creature under the level 70
Any of those would be an awsome ultimate prize.

I love this idea and my thoughts on the prizes If you had to give up the GPS or Bull ranc then I feel the prize money would suffice but if you got to keep the pet and only use once via the serial number (as said to keepch's from swapping with other chs to claim prize money)then the cash reward should be considerably lower like 100k for gps and 250k for baby bull rancor
One could hope a dev is reading this and implements it in a future patch I think it would make up for balancing us first and then leaving us as the only balanced prof while dancers beat up our rancors.

Freaking awesome idea. I love the Creature Handler profession. I may not be uber, but nothing gets me smiling like finding a rare, or having my three Giant Vermoks out dancing for an audience! I would love to capture creatures for Jabba. I would die to give up a Bull Rancor though.....
22 Pets max still urks me. I feel bad when I find a rare, and I have to destroy something on my datapad to get it. I also hate getting tells from people to mount their pets, meaning I would have to destroy a pet to train it for them. OR.. when people ask what pets I have for sale. Like I carry around a ton of under lvl 10 pet mounts for sale. Please.

I like the idea (and even floated a similar one in the Adult-Tame topic) but I do not think it would be a good idea to have the ultra-rare creature types on the list. Taming one of these creatures is the quest and prize in and of itself while the rarity would put-off many CH's interested in partaking in the quest. I guess the question is whether you actually want to add content for all CH/MCHs or just those who are lucky enough to find something ultra rare or who want to grind for months and months trying to get all the creatures on your list.
The creatures for a quest like this should come from all over the CL spectrum, encouraging starting CHs to get involved with the lower CL creatures and continuing to the higher levels with at least one creature that can only be tamed by a MCH - none of them harder to find than an Archane Widow. Unless, of course, you are just looking for a way to raise your status among the rest of the CHs by giving yourself a big gold star to show what an uber lair-grinder you can be...

So if you were designing the ultimate reward untamable creature, what would itsCL be like and what body type would it have? Would it be something you could group with one or two other pets (i.e. CL 35 or CL 23), or something to be used by itself (CL 60+)?

Great concept, of course, this has been suggested many times, but this is one of the best and feasable ive seen in a while.
couple things id change;
1. Dont have any of the rares in this list, many are either broken or simply unatainable. Some are hard enough to find by them selves, solo spawns, like the GPS, WDB, MS... let alone getting a baby. Others like the Bull rancor are simply broken or spawn in such fractional percentages that you could never complete this quest.
2. the list could start with more smaller stuff, so that a novice or low level ch could still start the quest. Like taming a mountain dewback, a Grand wrix, a sluge panther... and thus progress up the taming ladder as the quest continues.
3. The mch could have a choice at the end for a specific kind of baby reward he could so choose. then get a wp to go get that baby and finaly to prevent exploiting. give that animal a serial number.
Ai , as yur finaly reward here is a secret spawning ground for 1. Acklay babies, 2.Krayt Dragon babies, 3. Kimo babies 4. Peko albatross
If so wished you could make the quest redoable so the mch could get all the final quest reqard babies. Being non tradable would ensure not everyone would have them or be sold for millions. Then again what true mch would want to get rid of these anyways.
