I have been a MCH since August 13 2003 andnever dropped it or looked back. I do not post a lot here in the forums, buthave been reading them for the last 2 years.. I was amazed to see that I had read 38,000 posts andhad less than 100 posts.
I am at a cross road nowas I have 250 total spent skill points. 106 for ch and the rest in Jedi.For the last month I have not been able to hit the surrenderbuttonon my MCH.
I have worked on doingyour Master CH JEDIyou posted a few months back and it was fun and helped me level my LS.

Wow.... reading all the replys to this really hit me hard. I dunno what to say, so I think I am going to say what I feel, to me, is hurting me from the inside.
I for one, no matter the circumstances, will NEVER EVER in a bazillion years just suddenly decide to drop CH. It is the main reason I play this game. Since day one I told myself I WANT TO BE A CREATURE HANDELER, and thats what I did. I love my pets, yes its a game, but its why I love this game so much. CH has a HUGE Role Play experiance to it. There is so much to do and learn. So what big deal that they nerfed the hell out of us for combat, I still enjoyed myself.
I think the thing that all us old time CHs yearn for is Respect... Respect. I never had someone ever come up to me and say wow... your a master CH ect... When other players see you run around with your pets, I know, cause some people tend to say it out loud they think to themselves, what a noob.
The other day some TKM (title) girl came up to me outside the cantina in Bestine when I was showing a friend some of my pets and said your pet is weak. I had my Frenzied grual out, that is probably the strongest tameable (maybe) pet there is. She said lets duel (we were both unbuffed and I am a powerful old school Swordsman) I said fine. 3 seconds later her HAM was maxed out she excepted the duel and took down my grual in 2 shots, she used a scatter pistol (BH-TK I belive) I attacked in in rage and she took me down (armorless) in about 3 shots, and Death blew me. My frusl vitality dropped to 82 and I turned off my game and havnt played since. That was last sunday.
The thing was, I wasnt upset about losing thefight or the fact That the girl kicked my butt. The thing that hurt me was the fact that she had so much hate towards me... what did I ever do to her? Why didsheassume I was weak? Is it cause my title is Master Creature Handeler?
After The CU,even if they make us CH stronger again, Maybe fixthebugs that seem to have everyone screaming, Istill dont think It will ever revive the true inspiration of CH andgain the respect that we never had. CH isnt a dieing profession, It is the ONLY profession thatkept this game alive. Not playing wise, butMMORPG has ever had a certain profession that kept you happy, wanting to come back and have so much spirit as CH does for this game. The thing is, is that for those who dont likeit want it to be done awaywith. why? You eather love orhate CH. And if you were never a CH, you shouldnt have anything to say about us because you dont undstand the impact this profession has on you. Who would have ever thought a game would have me on is 6 hours a day riding my broken swoop bike, and too poor tofix it, in circles looking for just an animal.
Sorry I wrote so much, Its just Im unsure about this game. I dont want to leave it but I hate playing it, because I get bored and put down everytime I turn it on.

Some might say pets are weak, I used to think the same thing in PVP. That was until I started to duel my guildees and join up in the guildwars we have. I have seen my pets take down a TKM with my help. I have seen my pets help take out a padawn/TKM with my help. My pets have helped me in a few actual PVP fights. When I started to review the combat log, it was a very nice thing to see the amount of damage they did and they amount of damage they received. People were concentrating on them instead of me.
As a MCH/Master Rifleman, as long as I kite and stay at least 10m away from those melee guys, I can do good. Even unbuffed, let that TKM duel me. Before I accept, I will pop some food and spice, and get a good distance away, put the pet on guard mode, accept the challenge, and have at them. Sure, they might have some nice funky armor, as I nail them with my Jawa with a few headshots, or my T21 for a few Straffshot2's.
At the moment, I use primarily BE pets now. Mostly due to the annoying aggresive bug that is floating around. That and the BE pets are just better overall. Two pets, lvl 33 and 37, decent specials, light armor, excellent ham.
