Thread: What happened to our thread on the 19 Questions???

I believe the background paragraph is vital. TH has shown many times in the past that he doesn't know his subject matter very well, or at least that he finds a way to answer questions without answering questions. If we want a real answer, the question will have to be phrased like a legal document so he can't "wiggle" his way out of it like Shin said.

i think you should also throw this in there:

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=creature_handler&message.id=154332&page=7

go there and on the 3rd post down you will see a statement from TH himself...he pretty much says he doesnt believe us that a bunch of the creatures (that i specifically listed and had confirmed from over 100 players) arent spawning babies and that he will talk to the producers to see if anything is wrong. keep in mind the date is 2-2-04

im sure most of you will appreciate this as well, a response message from TH to me after I sent him a private message here on the forum, the date on this message is 2-27-04:

"I am still working on it internally - - I even have a document with the info on my desktop! Things will be a bit busy with Publish 7 going out, but I will get at it the first chance I get...

be well
th"

mention those to him, id LOVE to see what excuse he has this time

Vert phrase it exactly as orginally written. It is direct and to the point, while containing enough detail to get our point across.

I still predect our awnser will be

bla bla bla wait for the combat revamp and we will make it all better bla bla bla.

Vert could you give us feedback on if you submitted that whole or in part?

Perfect Vert. Very well done. Your not a Mayor in game, or a lawyer in RL by any chance?

How does this sound?

"Creatures and creature pets were nerfed in December, and it was stated that this was the first part of a multi-stage combat rebalance. Essentially, creatures and Creature Handlers got weaker while everyone else in the game stayed the same or got stronger. At around the same time, the popular CH playstyle of "taming" lost much of its sense of reward as a consequence of Bio-Engineered pets being made unquestionably superior and the variety of creatures spawning babies not increasing to a sufficient level.

What specific changes will the development team be making between now and the rest of the combat rebalance to mitigate this serious negative impact on the profession, and does this include the much requested "everything under CL 70has at least achance to spawn babies" change that the tamers in particular have eagerly awaited?"

Who wants to make a wager the whole "19 questions" thing disappears after a few rounds? It'll leave them too open to actually hearing our opinion, and as threads thatare non-flame debates get deleted round here it seems obvious they just don't want to know...

Deleting for flames, fair enough. Delete for profanity, fair enough. Delete for "hate" posts, fair enough. But deleting conversations about what we should ask next when they didn't contain anything bannable under the forum policies??

I think theyare interested in trying to make the game better, they're just not interested in what we think would make it better...looks over shoulder for the thought police delete police...

People are confused and miffed, itseems there are 2 departments programming this game, the publicists who want money and prestige and advertising and to get all the expansions out on the servers, and the poor bugg fixers who have to try and keep up with the first groups excessive demands. Most people in the game seem to want to the bug fixers to have priority, they want the present format working fully before moving on to other projects. Interestingly enough though its not impossible to "Win" as it were, The Droid Engineers did just that. Droid Invasionwas supposed to be this patch and they got it cancelled, along with Driodeka's and the droid commander class, because they argued that the DE class had to many ignored issues and they preferred those being done first, thus "Driods Rebuilt".

Vert, I think the statement is good but the point we need to make here is that weneed to have somechanges made.

The combat balance, scheduled for about 3 months from now in Pub 10, is a long time for a profession, on top of the 4 months we've had so far. But I have doubts they'll balance us twice in that time frame. And something tells me we don't want the final balance put on us first

Sure, I can drop the first paragraph. I tend to agree... I think it's stronger without it (and they shouldn't really need the background at this point).

This could have been said 4 months ago and it would have been true.

My guess is that it will still be true 3 months from now.

Give me a terrible foe and stack the odds against me.
Give me friends and creatures with whom I can share my adventures, my losses and my gains.
Let the gales blow and the world be torn asunder but don't make me stand alone against the tempest.
