Thread: non-hardcore ways to make money?
I have found the Aakuans on Talus to be a real treasure trove. If you go to Nashal you can get 2 missions form the terminal for 8400 credits. I tend to have then in the E or NE direction. I then head out to the POI Aakuan Champion Cave. It is roughly 1600m to the East. If they have spawned then have at them. These guys only fight via melee and drop really good loot.
Set you pets to guard yourself. Then move in slowly. Take out the guard at the cave enterance. If you send in your pets they will take the agro. Then fire/hack away. Slowly move in and continue the process. These guys are usually gathered in groups of 2 to 3. Focus on each group or you can agro as many as 10. Check the Locked containers as well since there is sometimes some skill tapes there as well. Once the cave is done move on to the missions. These will usually spawn 4 to 6 Aakuans and can usually get you some good loot as well.
I have gotten Aakuan Rings with + 5 Ranged Defense and up to +6 Armour Attachments form the Aakuans. You will also pick up Aakuan Belts + 10 Disease resistance, Aakuan Shirts + 10 Bleed resistance and Aukuan Robes +10 Poison resistnace.
I have sold the rings for 500K. The Belt for 50K and the others are going for around 10K each. The Armour attachments can fetch a nice amount form the Auction Forum.
In an hour I can do around 8 missions which will make roughly 68K credits and collect another 30K credits in looted credits. I also picked up a treasure map which turned up a plain shirt with +3 Medical Assembly and this one I sold for 500K. So you see there is a great potential for money form these guys with little time and pets.
