Thread: Pet perma Death

Personally I hate the idea of throwaway pets... like some sort of consummable item. I'm a strong believer in the "pets as long term companions" philosophy, and as such am not at all a fan of perma death or increased vitality consumption. I try not to sound too inflammatory, but from my own point of view that would be the single worst thing that could possibly happen to the profession (aside from abolishing it completely).
allelujah Someone understands the reason why it would cripple CH even more ![]()
I totally agree, pets are companions as much as tanks/weapons (don't laugh to hard) weapons

I've stated this before, but I am irrationally attached to my pets. I feel a stab of pain if one of them takes a vit loss...if they incap, I will focus all my attention on my downed pet, for fear that they might take a hit. I would rather suffer uninsured decay on everything in my inventory than have a pet take a vitality hit.
Ask anyone who has hunted with me when a one of my babies goes down how I react. It's absolutely insane, but I will drop EVERYTHING to tend to my creatures.
I strongly suspect that if I ever unlock, and have a non-CH mount out with me as I do my padawan thing, I'll do something really, really stupid like take a death before I let a lesser dewback take a vit hit. It's totally nuts, but as I said at the beginning, I am irrationally attached to my creature pets.
This is just my opinion:
