Thread: Sick and tired of poor responses to questions from TH...

For God's sake...you people absolutely kill me. He asked a simple question to try and understand the issue? If you've been a CH long enough, you know that some of the skins are inherent runners. If you've hunted bols before, they are big cowards and take off for the hills. A creatures size does not determine it's aggresiveness...heck, what would be considered one of the toughest creatures in the world we live in is not much larger than a raccoon (wolverine in case you didn't know). You all are just so jaded, that any response from a dev is taken as "they are lashing out at us...they want to intentionally nerf us". Do you really feel that the devs sit around saying "boy I really hate those ch's...let's really put the screws to them...we don't want them in our game".?
And where in that text do you see him referencing anything dealing with "poke-mon"? You say constant use but I've only seen two references to it ever and it dealt with the use of "poke-mon" type tactics which some would use if given half the chance. For some of you, no matter what a dev says, you're going to read into it and find something negative. All I can tell you is that NOTHING good EVER comes from breeding negativity.

I try very very hard not to get mad when I read the forums but the aboveunintelligible BS really pisses me off.
Bochuu, I have a hard time believing you are a CH at all because you have no idea what we are talking about in the first place. This is NOT a cowardly problem, this ONLY happens with larger creatures like Rancors,Graul Maulers(which are supposed to be a couple of the most aggressive in the game), and even wild creatures like War Grondas (my most recent experience with this bug). IF you were a CH to begin with you would probably know that weall speak the truth. IF you are a CH then you have proven your ignorance even more by not knowing what is going on in your own profession.I mean really you are showing how much of an idiot you are by even arguing on a post withat least a dozen CH's all saying the same thing. Oh and by the way, can the references to real life creatures because that is just plain stupid. We all know thatsize does not represent the aggressiveness of the creature,I think most of us figured that out when we wereNoviceCHs.
As far as the responses from the Devs go, well we mostcertainly do feel hated by them and we all have good reason too. We havebeen nerfedmore than any other profession bar none! Now I can deal with that but what I can't deal with is the fact that along with all of these nerfs we havereceived so few fixes for bugs that have been around sinceI started this professiona month after release. So don't come in here spewing your babble aboutour profession when you don't know a thing about it.
"CH's: With the latest patch, you THINK they've struck you down but in essence, they've made you MORE POWERFUL than you can imagine."
LOL! I wouldjust loveto know how you figure this one!

I don't think he was being condescending. What he probably meant was that maybe your pet's Dependability and Ferocity levels are too low, and during combat when there is a roll to determine whether or not your pet will run, it loses. Many BE's totally ignore dependability, psychology, and ferocity in lieu of higher HAM. If your pet's not a BE pet, maybe the creature you found in the wild has low numbers for those things (each pet DOES have an internal set of stat numbers).
THEY DO NOTHING!! I am a master Bio-engineer. Those stats mean nothing, zero, zip, nada, not a thing, NOTHING!!!!! I have a razor cat with dependibility over 750 and ferocity over 500 running all over the place just as much as one with dependibility 500 and ferocity 200.
Once again, for the hard of hearing - This has NOTHING to do with some clever coding AI based on hidden stats. It has everything to do with an attack range screw-up/bug introduced in the last publish. Thunderheart wasn't speaking out of some great, in-depth knowledge of the profession and how pets work, he was regurgitating the same idiotic response as most non-CH spew out when they see a pet 'run away' because he doesn't know any better and refuses to learn.
That's funny that you have a cat skin and he still runs. What are you fighting at the time? Was it perhaps some larger creature? I only ask because I have a BE made gurreck that has only ever run in combat a couple of timeswhen fighting pickets, graulsand most recently war grondas, all larger creatures. I can kill mountain squills, huurtons, razor cats, etc etcby the droves and he never goes anywhere. That is why I also believe it is a range bug and nothing to do with the ferocity of the creature.
This used to happen all the time when I was using my Graul Mauler pre creature nerf patch but it would be the Graul that would do the running.
I didn't choose MCH to be über düber or l337 - I chose it because the MMORPG I migrated from, AC, didn't have anything like it. I can accept not being a frontline PvP'r. I can accept having to spend a significant number of skill points to augment CH with a combat class. I can accept my role as a "support" character in group hunting situations. I will not accept a half assed, broken class. I will not accept a Developer openly, blatently ridiculing and attacking my chosen profession.
Nerf me once shame on you. Nerf me twice, shame on me for sticking around - good god I must be a masochist! ![]()
Holy crap I have an edit button! WOO HOO (double post deleted)

Maybe your pet wasn't the one running. Maybe it was chasing. Try calling the pet back to you and you'll see the mob is actually running away from it.
My pet's never run away from something it wasn't suppose to run away from.

This is true, but the result is identical. I was with a group and my partner had a non-bio huurton and I had my bio Verne out. When they were both sicked on the same mob, all three ran away. Sometimes pulling back my pet would bring back the mob and the huurton too. Other times, my pet would come trotting back while the huurton and the mob ran off into the sunset. So it would appear it is the pet that the mob is aggro'd against that determines the mob's running.
Which goes a bit beyond simple ranging.

First off...I definitely know what I'm talking about. I've been in this game since beta and I've been a master CH for a long time as well as a Master BE. I wrote what I said from actual GAME experience. Youare so blinded by your negativity that you can't focus and to be honest, I pity you. I played for several hours today and used my pets fighting mall types of various mobs. I am well aware of the current bugs but it has not changed my playstyle. I am still able to hunt and my pets still hold aggro. I just think you're so sucked in by the negativity blinders you have on that it has affected your ability to adapt to a game. Posts like the one started here are counterporductive. They do nothing to better the game experience and actually detract from it. You've let the devs know what the issue is now let them work on fixing it. Ranting and Raving like this is not gonig to get the issue solved any faster...and yes, my signature holds true. CH is still a powerful class.
