I think if we do this RIGHT, we can get a lot of sympathy from others; after all who knows when the Devs may add code to control them as well?
I'll work on something after dinner, and post it here for general approval before moving it out to the other profession forums.
I agree totally. DO NOT turn this into an anti-jedi issue. It is NOT.
This is about the DEVS and how they again betrayed the CH players.
Notice how Pistoleers lost Disarming shot?
Ranger's traps do NOT work on CH Pets,
Yet Jedi can take them and turn them against us?
WTH were the Devs thinking?
As many Jedi have already posted, these are not even wanted skills, they can EASILY be taken out of game, OR made for NPC animals only without an uproar from the Jedi.

Not gonna turn it into a Anti-Jedi thing. God knows CH's have suffered enough from that sorta BS. But many of them are to blame for current woes of all professions.

whew it looks like ive been in the wrong subject on the forum. in the other one i was starting to wonder when an MCH was gonna come in and back me up on this subject about how this is a disgusting thing to happen to CH, but....i guess everyone was posting here lol.

Tell them to leave? I said if you "could not" find a reason to keep the skill set then find one that makes you happy. If my post was misleading or misinterpreted then I apologize. I stand on my words though. “If you do not like this profession or where it is headed look for one that works for you and makes your gaming experience one that is enjoyable.”

theorb22, sorry - my intent was to rant & rave about just jedi being able to control our pets, and I guess I saw your thread as being more general to CH in PvP. Didn't mean to take the focus off your thread on CH in PvP because that is still very much a concern.
Bullroach, I think you've missed the point of my "rant". It wasn't about being able to kill Jedi. It wasn't about the viability of CH in PvP. (Though you are mistaken if you truly think CH is viable. It isn't, regardless of what pet combos one uses). It was about the inherent unfairness in allowing one profession to so dominate/control another. Not even Bounty Hunters have such power over jedi as the jedihave(or will soon have) over CH.
But in reply to your posts:
- For the sake of game play, there are a lot of things in this game that are not in the SWG universe. So, why should making all pets vulnerable to lightsabers be one of them? The game is not meant to be an exact duplicate of the SWG universe - it wouldn't be playable if it were.
- I don't care about killing jedi. I do care that jedi have been given such complete rule over CH. By the way, in the SWG universe anyone with aweapon has a chance of killing a jedi - it's not just bounty hunters.
- I've been playing CH since September, something like that. You'd better believe that I'm going to voice my concerns over changes made to the profession that so adversely affectit. I'm not just going to meekly leave and find another profession. The devs have responded toother concerns of the gaming community in the past and have made changes accordingly. Changes that wouldn't have been made if everyone had just sat by and said nothing.
I firmly believe that we can make the devs hear us. I'm not sure how. Though I do like BlindTyldak's idea of involving other classes.Oh, and I CERTAINLY never intended my rant to be "anti-jedi". Nor do I believe that the devs have it in for CH.Which is why I believe we can make them hear us and see that the animal control abilities they've given to the jedi are sorely ill-considered.

Uhm, all MCHs and high level CHs who are angry, go get your malkocs and kimos and such and crowd the Theed, Cnet, all those starport areas right outside the starport and the ticket droid....

actually once i got my first kimo i did that in coronet for a minute or 2.people were not very happy, but i was highly amused . especially since i was sitting on my brackasat just riding around on it, looking at the little people below as my kimo stomped around muahahah.

Actually there are Pets with LS-Resist in the SWG-Universe. I think it was a
nealy translucent worm, that lets LS pass though.
And yes, im outraged too, with Mindtrick.
Maybe we should band together with Docs and Entertaiers. They dont see a Redname too,
and they have to fight crappy buffbots destroying their prof too.
