Quantum...I will not scream at you. I think you are really trying to be helpful..and that is great. Really. Not many people here can be calm rite now..specially me. However...
I dont think what you are saying makes any sense. All you really jus did..was put a new picture over our existing pets. Then you made it so there would only be 5 kinds of pets instead of 100. Is it easier for the developers..not really. They tried this with the changes to pets...making almost all of them have the same stats..mostly anyway. The specials were placed back..just like the add-ons you want to give drioids. Its really the same..with metal instead of flesh. I think you think this is a good thing..but thats not what being a CH is about. Is it better than nothing at all?..not for a lot of us.
The other side is that many of us here are upset because we were cheated. Not only of the profession that we love so much..but because we were deliberately lied to in order to make more money for SOE. For me..this is the heart of the problem.

less than 24 hours after they announce our favorite profession is being removed. do you really think people are capable at this point.

It's ok He is male and it is his nature to want to take action and fix what is broken. This however is a time of greving. Wailing and nashing of teeth. Besides many people do not understand the emotional difference between a tin box (I have a combat droid and I never call him (Max lvl too) and a "living" creature.

Actually, the devs never tried it this way. It will be easier for them, significantly better in fact. Keeping track of 5creatures is ALWAYS better then over 1000. Thats the biggest problem with CH. The combos and possibilities have always been endless... and frankly, too hard to keep up with. The system I mention limits this greatly. It allows for the possibilities to be significantly more predictable...
That alone is a great reason for the devs to consider this idea.
Is it CH... no. Will it be 100% like CH... no. Will it be similar... yes, in many ways.
Thing you have to consider is that CH as it currently exists, is going to die. There are specific reasons why its going to die, and we have to decide if we want to accept destruction, or change.
