The thing that still bothers me is this supposed "exploit".
In a city pets can still be called instantly. We still have combat timers. How does having a timer in the wilderness but not in a city constitute an exploit in one place but not the other. (Talk of the Jedi scenario is pure speculation on our part.)
This answer no sense, just as it didn't when the timers were announced.
Vert, TH said he won't talk about exploits on an open board. You have access to the closed one. Can you find out the exploit there and then either confirm that there is in fact one (not what it is) or show TH that this contradiction makes no sense whatsoever based on the answer we were given? Thanks.
I can't post things that have been said there without permission. I will say that I've been having a very spirited discussion about this, and I do not personally agree with the Devs' reasoning behind this timer.
It would be very helpful if you guys could continue to (constructively) discuss all the ramifications here on the board. With the goal being to assemble a compelling list of arguments for our position that can be presented to the Devs.
BAH!!!!
ok seriously this may have been an "exploit" when CH was "Uber" (read good armor, weapons, and buffs weren't around yet). This only exists as an exploit for Imperials with ATST's. ATST are 1 shot kill toys against unbuffed players. So yes popping 1 out in the middle of combat would give the owner an unfair advantage hence being an "exploit". For CH's it would be leveling the playing field.
THat is the root of our problem Vert. The CH community is being punished for 1 Faction pet that is 100x more powerful than any pet we can tame or buy. My solution would not be welcomed by imperials, because it would be to eliminate ATST's as faction pets. Technically the ATST needs 2 pilots to control it thus it is an exploit in itself because it allows a non CH to call more than 1 pet (yeah I am reaching here).
BTW /GASP!!! well 19 "answeres" a month is better than none, oh wait when there is a non-answer does it matter?
