Because they wanted to take more of the fun out of the game.Before the patch I was a aspiring CH with 3 boxes till master and had tracking 4 from the ranger tree.I had alot of fun tracking babys and taming then selling them.But now there seems to be no pet market what so ever.I would like to know why the moved xfer to MCH also, I dont mind they wanted to get rid of dabblers that is understandable and if you only go up management 4 to get xfer you cant tame anything really great

Err, I remember this myself, you can't use /transfer to transfer pets because it's a pet command just like attack or store, you've got to teach your pet something to let it know when to transfer.

Does that mean i need to teach a pet everytime i need to transfer him/her?

....since i already trained em for the /transfer command....

re-train your pet using "transfer" instead of "/transfer", then target the person you want to transfer it to and speak "transfer" in spatial or /tellpet the command

/transfer is a jedi command
