The taming formula was changed a few publishes ago. They made it so non-Wookiees do not need taming clothes to tame/call CL 64+, but they also adjusted the system to give a lesser chance of success at the high levels than it used to.

Part of the problem right now I guess is that the bonuses from bio clothing does not apply to the skillcheck anymore. Atleast not when it comes to healing efficiency and probably taming bonuses as well.

I picked up 2 cl66 Reptilian Flyer babies and it took me a good few tries to get them. One thing I did notice, though, when one agroed me and it's parent attacked, it seemed easier to tame after I killed the parent. The other one who was still with its parent was much harder to tame (about twice as hard, I'd say).

QFE;

I've always found this to be the case since day one nearly two years ago! way before CU, I even used to get the 'you cant tame that', then I'd kill the parent, and the baby would be tameable. I thinki've mentioned this before somewhere, but FYI

Didn't they make some change to mask scent this publish too?
I was taming level 50-ish creatures on Endor (conning grey to me). If I tried to tame without mask scent, the baby aggroed every time. And after a lot of taming attempts.
With mask scent on, I succeded in taming the critters with only 3 or 4 tries.

I always /mask before taming, but yes, I believe the mask scent change was that a grey con would no longer detect you thru your mask scent
