Thread: Settle the Heck Down, pets WILL be fixed.

I do not think people are overreacting or whining. I think they are fed up. These issues started with the live release of the 'Combat Upgrade'. When will they get fixed? When? I am pretty sure people HAVE been submitting bug reports, I know I did when my pets autostored on me. Did the autostore ever go away? I don't think so. How about the pet ferocity issue? That made 95% of my datapad useless.

I could list all the wonderful things that have gone on with the CH profession since the CU went live, but there is no need to do that. We are all well aware of have.

When will pets be fixed? When will I be able to go to dath and have a pet with a taunt ability? When will I have a pet with specials that work? I am all for being positive and all, but from what I have seen, that got drained out of me.

Of course, you have to think about it from a few sides. I really don't think they were ignoring us. Not too many people play test center bro, maybe Sony did not catch it. Now that it is on live servers, use the tools provided and help them get it fixed.

I'm sorry, but isn't the test server there so they can TEST new things??

I'm mad because they must of known. I'm mad because my money is JUST as good as someone playing a Jedi or BH, can you imagine the uproar if they did this to them? We can't play, they have taken away our skills to play the game.

I do understand your point of view that we should be patient, but I'm as patient as they come and they've got me annoyed (and that takes some doing!)

I also play CoH and I can say that SoE could learn a LOT from these people about customer care.

Ask the tailors and bio engineers about their civilized attempts to get BE Clothing fixed... Almost the exact same set of circumstances

How's that working out for us?

I never said to be patient, I said to calm down and help rid of the bug off live servers by using the tools we have to fix the problem. I dont know why Sony never caught it on the TC and I agree, they should have, but they did not. Focus on what we can do now to get rid of it.

It is. Please settle down people, this is an issue that can and will be fixed. Set your prides aside for a few days and help get this fixed.

The MAIN issue is:

THIS BUG SHOULD HAVE NOT BEEN IN ON LIVE IN THE FIRST PLACE!

Let me emphasize that:

THIS BUG SHOULD HAVE NOT BEEN IN ON LIVE IN THE FIRST PLACE!

I hope after reading this, you understadn WHY the uproar is taking place. It's not because it will eventually be fixed, but because people on TC are being IGNORED, as the whole customerbase has been ignored on, well all? occasions so far.

You got something brown on your nose. What did the devs have for lunch I am sure you can tell use what it looked like after it came out. I saw it was posted everyday on the test bug thread and in this one. You do not want to hear people "whine or complain" then turn off your damn computer.

No one needs anyone telling people that have kept this profession after every nerf and so called fix to calm down. It is not liek this JUST happened everyone knew the thing was there but the devs for what ever reason decided to ignore it. Foccue now on what we can do to get rid of it you are trying to fool yourself in thinking you can do something but just sitting on your hands and telling devs there poo does not stink that is funny. Simple way to fix it FIRE EVERY SINGLE DEV ON THIS GAME AGAIN.

Hehe I said poo .

Hi, are you new here? You do not seem to be familiar with the past behavior of SOE and bugs.

For those that were not around, I would like to bring up Publish 6. This wonderful publish, after the horrendous "Great Nerf" of Publish 5, cause pets to run from a target at the drop of a hat. Using creatures was quite literally impossible. After screaming about it for two weeks, we were told by Thunderheart, "Some pets are cowards." Not "I'll look into it" or "By golly, that is messed up." It took two more weeks for them to acknowledge that pets were in fact broken. It took several more weeks for a fix to appear in Publish 7.

We have been burned before and it cost us over a month and a half of play. The incompentance of letting the bug go live at all does not help. At least this time it is obviously broken, but that does not mean a quick fix is on the way.

We are well within our rights to be angry when an entire profession is rendered useless.

hi_i_am_new_here Dude it is obvious u are new here... One day if u stick with it long enough u will understand... BEFORE YOU POST any more of this crap just do some reading on the fourms an look at how bugged we were an are an how little SOE cares. From your posts I think you must be a SOE employee...

Please tell me what TOOLS we have to get our problmes fixed. We have a Excellent Correspondent an even he reports how the Dev's don't listen. A fine example is it was reported 2 weeks ago that this bug was on test server... did anyone listen besides the CH community of players, the DEV's sure did not.

So DUDE take a few hours an read about 500 posts in this forum an come join us in being UPSET. Perhaps after doing this reading YOU will understand what you are saying makes no sense at all. Cause we have NO WORKING Tools.

SOE has a history of not careing about game-breaking bugs showing up in TC because they want the new content of the patch to make it to live.

JTL was tested for 1 month with a know bug that silenced creatures. it made it to live and took several patches to fix.

CU bugs 4 months and counting:

  • pet specials

  • mounted combat

  • BE problems

  • pet speeds

Seriously you are saying relax they will fix it?? not until they give CH's a flashlight projector.

Lets talk about the great nerf. 1.5 YEARS

SOE has a proven track record of not careing about CH or any other bugs in general.

There are still bugs around from beta. notto mention useless items that once had a purpose but no longer do.

And you say be patient??

I say hit the cancel button.

Why should this have even been a issue we faced in game.

You ask me to calm down when swg just nerfed us yet again and this time took what was left of my pets abilities which was HAM, cl, and dmg. Do you realize that pets can no longer take a single hit from a common npc and cannot kill a durni. If I were to pvp against another master ch were they used a bio pet of any level and I used a Great Plains Stalker the stalker would be crushed easily.

Yes I did send a /bugreport but this nerf is so insulting that it has even gave me thoughts of respecing out of ch and I lead a multi-server creature handling guild. I have seen every nerf and bug and this is by far the worst one as it makes wild pets COMPLETELY unusable. Worse swg knew of this before the publish meaning they did so to once again hurt our profession so that other professions such as Jedi can get sabers fixed and smugglers can get their revamp. I will not simply stand by on this one and tell my members that everything will be ok and at this point will lead my guild as we strike against hunting, training, and taming pets.

Thats all am going to say

"So for all of you cry babies out there, work with fellow players and development to have the problem solved. Constant bashing, whining, and bickering WILL NOT get the problem fixed. Sorry Sony didnt catch it during TC, there arn't enough testers playing anywho. What are you waiting for? get bug reporting! We can get this fixed!"

I was following the original post and respected the sentiment....that was until I got to this part.

For one thing, which I'm sure the original poster is aware of, this bug was reported in TC. It was reported in the TC forum. It was reported in the CH forum. The correspondant reported it in the corro forum. And yet, surprise surprise, it went live anyway.

Some more reporting is going to get it fixed?

Patch 18 broke BE tailor tissues. That's still broken by the way. It's game breaking for tailors. Do you think the tailors have been just sitting on their hands waiting for a bug that SOE must know is game breaking to be fixed? This CH bug is game breaking. It is one of many bugs that have been game breaking. SOE will indeed fix the bug but again, it's one of many over the history of the game.

You ask if CH's are willing to give up this easily, as if this is just one simple problem and the rest of history was rosey sunshine.CH's aren't giving up easily. We're the unwanteddog that's beenrepeatedly beaten. You tell me when it's time to give up eh?
