Thread: Are the Devs really to blame?
This game is way too huge and way too complex, and they're all in way over their heads with trying to get it worked out.
They just sink themselves further into the muck when they push out buggy code like this.
Think of all they could be doing instead of fixing what used to work fine, but has been broken mysteriously.
The more they add stuff with known issues, the more they bloat their backlog for fixes, and the deeper they sink.
I don't care who's to blame, all I want to know is when will everyone running this game wise up and push for all the necessary fixes this game so desperately needs.
I understand we hired more Devs recently. I see no improvement in Publish quality, the amount of content added to the game, nor the amount of bug fixes. If anything, I remember a very brief month or soperiod of time where things *looked* like they were improving, then it was shortly back to business as usual - Publish bug fests, broken this and broken that, and indifferent silence to the reported bugs.
I know back in December they said the new Devs would have to "get up to speed."
It's been 6 months. If they're not up to speed, their clutch is broken. Send 'em back to the mechanics and get some pros in here to handle the clean up.

I completely agree and not to disagree, but to add, the promise of the new devs getting up to speed and such was made by Tyrant. He has since been fired/quit with no mention-he is, borrowing a 1984 reference, a non-person here.
I'm sure someday, he'll explain what happened as he and Calandryll knew what this game needed.
As to Tiggs, I think she reflects the management at the time. With Tyrant and Calandryll, she was all over it by listening to us-because that was probably rewarded and encouraged. Now she's tight lipped and non-responsive-again because that is encouraged and rewarded.
Well, actually... we did want a Combat upgrade! WE asked for it... for a year! However, I dont think we asked for it in its present incarnation. We wanted the system tweaked, not a whole new system. They went way overboard wasting valuable time and resources persuing a system which seems to be even more prone to major bugs then the previous combat system.
Still, I am having more fun in combat then I've had in the past. I personally like that nobody is invinveable anymore. There are perks to this new system. We just have to bear with the devs while they iron out the kinks.
Of course, a kink like the CH 1(0) bug should never have happened when it was known prior to release to live servers.... bad bad mojo!
MESSAGE TO DEVS: New content is great, but not at the expense of aggrivations like this!
