the pets in question were never intended to be as strong as they were. You are right, they should admit their mistakes in allowing such exploitation (I use the word without malice, it was not intentional exploiting but still exploited flaws) But in the end it is good they are gone. They were never meant to be. It sucks for you all yes, but then again we have all had to suffer lately. Personally I wouldn't mind if we all had them. But then again haven't you all heard? CH is an uber profession...must be why we were always the first invited to PvP and Corvette missions.....end sarcasm.

If players hadn't botted us to death, the Devs wouldn't have felt they needed to deliver a deathblow to us temporarily.

I blame the Devs for their lack of action when we needed it most, and I blame the playerbase for loving all of those lame bots.

Our only hope now is that the Devs give us elite level benefits sometime this year, to maybe let us have a place in this game again.

Until then, being a Master Dancer or Musicianholds little to no value to the community, outside of looking nice and sounding good.

Yeah, that's worth $15 per month...

Its extremely harsh, to say the least. Im sure there will be new things for us in the future, but at the rate they are working on things it could be 6 months before ents have any real use in the game again. it was a terrible decision to remove BF BEFORE giving ents something to replace it. Inspiration buffs dont cut it, folks dont even use them at present. Crafters and entertainers are taking it in the teeth right now (since the CU) and there doesnt appear to be any light down the tunnel yet.

As it stands the food chain works like this... Jedi($), BH, all combat profs, Creature handlers, crafters, ... and then ents.

*Secretly hopes they have glorious plans for non-combatants, but fears otherwise*

You said it.

I think the current devs do not understand the original design philosophy, which for all its bugs, whatever else you want to say about it, was made to create a whole player-run WORLD. Now, instead, what they're doing is switching to a computer-run world that we exist in, instead of one we run as well. And that's sad... lots of other games have computer-run worlds.

How long do you think it'll be before, with no docs left in med centers, they take wounds out of the game? My prediction is, that's next... pub 23 at latest.

You forgot one! At the very end, underneath entertainers: politicians! But look at the bright side... when they get tired of trying and abandon your profession as being undesirable in the grand scheme of the new game (Star Wars Galaxies: Age of the Jedi), they'll make it 0 SP too. That's more than adequate compensation after all, isn't it?

I have to add my two credits worth here too. I am truly sorry that the entertainers and crafters got such a shafting with the CU and now again with Pub 20.

I can only say that I hope the devs receive better smarter guidance from the producers to return us to a smart, detailed, fun to play world. The game is becoming such a dumbed down version of itself that, it is tough for anyone to play, much less the poor crafters and entertainers.

My sympathies and hopes are with you all in this.

I don't like pointless grinds.
Thank you for reintroducing decay!!!
I like a complex, immersive world simulation, full of possibilities, challenges and roleplay.
I want a player driven, crafting-based economy.

Maybe I'm a complete twit, but I made a dancer because it's *fun*. When I get tired of the grind, I break out my dancing Twi'lek, hit the local cantina (I've had a great reception and tons of funon Theed) and dance my cares away. I might not be "necessary" to get rid of BFanymore, but entertainers are necessary for the immersion/RP aspect of this game.I can definitely understand the frustration of most of you here though.

Can't wait till I can use the new props and become yet more menacing as I flail across the floor!

You aren't a complete twit and no one would fault you for enjoying dancing, Tandava. However, as you stated it yourself, you do it when you tire of the grind on your main character. Kirah and Shianne were both Master Dancers. Period. That is what I did - dance (and role play, which is another aspect of this game that has beennerfed out of existance due to the lack of content). Sure, prior to the CU I could defend myself readily enough, but since the entertainer professions were effectively nerfed into hiding just to protect themselves from all the nasty creatures and meanies outside the cantinas, I've barely played at all.

I loved being a dancer and am greatly saddened by what has been done to my game profession (and dancers fared a whole lot better than musicians in this patch). Cancelling my account was surprisingly hard to do and took me a couple of months to finally be able to. However, for me, pretty props and even getting complete flos for the Exotics aren't enough to justify the monthly expense.
