Thread: The Unofficial Creature Mount Guide
I am a master CH on Lowca. I am ALL for us MCH's getting together and agreeing on a SOMEWHAT high price...I dont want to gouge players, but I do want to take advantage of the boom.....that's what you DO in a live economy (of course my guild-mates and friends get them for free, but that's like 8 players!).....My biggest reason:
Mounts will be big money...UNTIL player vehicles come out. Then the engineers will be setting their own high prices. Not sure how long that will take, but I say we enjoy the demand for mounts while we can.
Further, if the BIG ch nerf comes through at the same time as mounts, we'll suddenly have aLOT of ppl dropping CH altogether. Those 4-4-0-0 CH's will drop CH like it's hot. Availablility of ppl ABLE to train mounts will be somewhat low I think.
And my title stays ON. As my bank account fills up....I have my grauls, and rancor in my datapad....the rest is filled with Kaadu! (along with some BE'd Kaadu in my house.)
One question though: Where are Carrion Spats found?

Boo price fixing! Yay free markets!
I will be providing free mount training to my guildmates and anyone who asks me.

Im not 100% but I think carion spats are found on Endor.
Carrion spats are found on Corellia. You can get missions for them in Coronet.
CAn someone do a feature and benefit list for mounts? Ive heard varying reports, saying that mounts ALWAYS run faster than PC's, to hearing that they have no exploration skill (meaning...hills suck).
What are the facts about mounts....besides the cool factor?
I have heard in TC now it is Empathy 4 but on Thunderheart' posts ti mentions Management 4. Just wanted to know what line I should go up.
Questions:
1) I've seen reports on TC that BEs will be able to make CL-10 versions of all the mounts. Has this been verified?
The devs have stated that there will be a CL10 version of every mount that is currently listed. Future mounts may be higher lvl.
To answer Rohki's question, mounts are a form of transportation to get you from point A to point B in less time than it would take to go from point A to point B on foot.
Nothing else is special about them, and you can't do a lot of things while on a mount.
In the future the Devs might add a mount storage option to store items, simmilar to the storage mod on droids.
So if the pet levels are less than 10 you can transfer them through the datapad.
Is this going to be changed so pets can only transfer through the transfer command?
Otherwise we'll see hundreds of people that only have Empathy IV flooding the mount market, and once again Master CH is worthless, since most players will either be a Master CH, a player trying to become a Master CH, or a mount salesman.
Can anyone clear this up or add to the question?

I admit, I have been guilty of giving pets to folks 5 minutes out of the tutorial for free and that's probably not the best thing to do. We worked hard to earn XP to climb the CH tree and for some to Master CH and we should get something in return, but that too should be fair and balanced. I'll reconsider the way I handle that type of situation.
Wait, so who are you to gate people who are "5 minutes out of the tutorial" from having a pet? Who decides who has earned one?
My goodness, and you people wonder why others hate this profession. Get over the greed, folks.
I can see I'm gonna have to start advertising free mount training on the Kettemoor board to combat price gouging...
