Yes Raptor I agreed
our emotions all of them negative and positive give us the strength and courage to fight the fiercest beast.
Like our pets we charge with in with fury
and like our pest we shall now sit and wait, always watching, always listeningwhile we rest.

Did the Devs say they would post info in a week? I very well could have missed that. But I would suggest that unless something was said about having info ready in a week, that more time be allowed before starting flame wars again. Giving the Devs a week sounds a bit like an ultimatum, and that just seems contridictory to the intent of this thread.

There was (of course) no guarantee of info in one week's time. We were told that the Devs would begin trickling out info in the next couple of weeks. We will not see everything all at once, just bits and pieces here and there as they feel comfortable releasing the info.
I'm excited to see what they actually have planned and dejected knowing how this sort of thing has gone in the past. I'm trying to hold on to a little optimism though.

I think the correspondents said they would begin posting in a week.
I can give more time but I am quietly waiting for either an IM or a post from a red name here to signal that we are at least going to come to the table.
A truce is not peace it is just the suspension of hostilities until peace can be restored.
At this point the ball is totally in the courts of SOE, how they choose to act will determine, I believe, how many people will either stay in the game in the hope of something better, or hit the cancel button. So it is up to them, until we have a reply or the lack of one, I am content to sit and wait but not forever. I have my own timeline that I am hoping for a response in. If that isn't met, I will state it here and I will be making a final decision as to what to do.
I will also make one last post and then I am afraid I will be gone for a long time.

My friend Pluto (the eternal cynic, skeptic and pessemist) asked me to post the following:

If you are always loooking down in the mud, you will always miss the rainbow.
Each of us CH have looked up at some point in the past 9 months. At times we have had no real reason to be optimisitic. The forces of nature were agaisnt us. The winds of change (and talk of the masses) chilled us to the very fiber of our being. The rain tumbled down on us and blotted out the sun. There were no rays of hope as we sought some shelter (mostly in each other). My fellow CH have been a jacket of solitude that helped me weather this storm.
Plato speaks in his Allegory of the Cave about the sun being the one thing that can show us the true forms. In our cases, the Devs are the sun. They can choose to keep us dreary and miserable or they can shine and show us what true forms this game has in store for us. For me and many others, an apology from TH would be that first ray of hope breaking through the ugliest of storm clouds on the harshest of days. I give my wholehearted promise that if the simplest phrase of words ( I am sorry) is uttered by TH in this very forum, I will take it as the olive branch. Just those three words, nothing more. I do not care if any of th Dev team really comes here (not out of antimosity but I realize they have things to do). But if TH is to come here he must understand that the apology means a lot to CH.
A real cease fire is what everyone wants. I am as willing to work hard for this as anyone. I do not say I will remain calm 100% of the time. But I am more than willing to work harder towards that goal.
Disclaimer: As always if that did not make sense to you, it did me.

I had a comment about gas and it's source but it would not be in spirit with the peace offering
I will support the peace but again remain warry of it. Last time the communication lasted for ohhhhh 1 post by TH. Lets see if he can make it last.
We CH's are much like our pets, Loyal, brave, elegant but if you tease us too much you will also see our fangs and claws.
Our Passion is the one thing they can never Nerf.

I am not even physically able to play the game on my college campus because of firewall restrictions and an incompetent IT dept (belive me these guys areactually dumber thansome have said the devs are, I'm not lying)but for the sake of the game I STILL pay the $15 a month for a service I am not able to use(couldnt use it reliably before, after patch 9 messing with my viedo drivers but thats besides the point). Ive had my hand wavering over the cancle button for several weeks now and if I am going to continue to pay for this when I have absolutely no reason to other than my faith in things to come.
I will need some info before the end of the month. Thats 4 weeks when we were told 2 to 3. I am in no way trying to make it sound like an ultimatum or threat I am simply stating that on the 30th of september I will be canceling my account if no documents have been released in relation to CHat that time. And if a red name has not appeared in this board before I cancle my account I will not be comming back. Their is absolutely no reason for any mature adultto pass up this oppertunity to end the flames and hostilities.

This post is NOT to preach to anyone and I'm not trying to convert anyone to my way of thinking. I'm simply sharing with you some of the things I havelearned that really help me a lot.
- First, anger isa choice that I make. I can chose to not be angry.
- Second, it is a beautiful day today, whether I choose to believe it or not.
Now, you might be thinking I'm just rattling off cute lil sayings here. Nope, I remind myself of these many times a day. In life, there are always so many reasons to get angry or to let someone get under your skin. I have found that I can also make a choice to remove that burr whenever I get tired of my anger. I can simply let it go. However, this almost always feels like I'm admitting defeat. I'm not. I'm simply making a choice to not be angry anymore AND I'm far from perfect here.
I have chosen to abstain from directing my anger and frustrations towards the devs or anyone else for that matter. That does NOT mean that I'm in favor of our current circumstance. I'M NOT. However, I pay to PLAY this game. Play means fun and I have a hard time having fun if I'm busy being angry. So, I make choices.
- I chose to not get angry eventhough I do get frustrated.
- I chose to let certain things go because I'm powerless to change them. (acceptance without resignation or defeat).
- I chose to focus my attention on the things that I enjoy and that are fun for me, not on the things that constantly bring me down.
- I chose to make new friends and try to learn something about them, rather than bemoan the sad state of affairs.
- I chose to be happy, rather than right.
- I chose to live and let live.
When I make these choices on a consistent basis, I am much happier with this game. I find that I enjoy CH, eventhough we still need attention from the devs. I find that I don't constantly think about quitting the game again (was gone for approx. 6 months)....and...shocker....I have fun!
For me, it's oftendifficult to just let go of my anger. However, when I am able to do so, I'm usually much happier and not nearly as stressed out all the time.
May The Force Be With You All.
