Well I tamed a lvl 69 lava strider on musti last night, it has lv3 aggression, adn i wanted to see what it would do. I sent it in to hit an lvl78 npc, it agroed it, adn 5 of its friends, in cluding a boss mob lvl80 with 19k ham. Not only did the agro no waver at all, it jsut stood there geting beat on, takeing minimal damadge, as I took out the npc's. I can not belive I tried to make a mateing pair of rancors to tank for me, with out ANY Agression at al. they work pretty well, but I deffinetly need to watch what they are doing to kep the ago. The flea just wades in, starts pissing everything off, and shrugs the agro off. In fact I watched it kill three lvl 80 and one lvl81 tulrus all by its self, took a bit of tiem but it did it, itr was pretty banged up , but still limping back to me. I suggest you waits no tiem getting soemthing with agression 3.
AND a nice little bonus, I learnd the skill after the first three NPC's died. it had liek 14k xp, however I am thinking tis fluke, I can nto repeat the experience.
on mustafar the lava fleas (CL65 and the guards CL70 elite) come with aggression 3 too.
one nice thing about my CL70 shear mite soldier (i trained it with aggression 3) is that it has a ranged attack. it gets the agro the moment i use the attack command - i dont have to wait for it to engage melee combat with the target - and if i m attacked by multiple mobs i can let it attack one by one to draw the agro away from me very fast (its specially trained as tank so it can handle multiple mobs very well).
