All I have to say to that is BIG DEAL... They will attack the CH first and then the pets become useless, since pets can't tank anymore the high health does very little to help and on top of that since they don't tank, they would be used for strategy and damage, scratch those too cause they lost thier specials and uniqueness. Merek Death's Head had 670 max damage dropped to what like 330, same as every other pet - they used to have bad protection but where huge damage dealers with awsome specials.... now they are the same as every dang creature out there.

I agree with everyone on this post except Dodece.

1. I wanted to see something help us with wild pets.. or perhaps some knowlege of good-doing to CH in the future... no It had to be some dumb BE thing. I don't use BE pets don't want them and Don't like them and Ill sayit again I will not delte the pets I worked hard for and grew close to for an edge in battle that doesn't even matter too much.

2. I miss the old ways.. not for combat yes It did stink blah blah blah I was there, I miss the rare creatures, the endless hunts, My companions all out beside me fighting as one big team.. grouping up to take on the hardest missions we can and strolling through star ports strotting our stuff. This is gone forever

3. I can play WOW GW and EQ and now it will have the same effect as this game.. why did I play this game? simple.. IT WAS DIFFERENT, MORE COMPLICATED, AND ALOT MORE FUN.. CH was a game in a game... as alot of professions where... now it makes no big deal wether your a Fat wookiee tailor or a short rodian CH... The game is ruined..

Delete my post.. feel free This is directed to you.. I am not starting any arguements... There was no need for a wait cause it was no big secret.. I knew about this the 3rd day after the CU.

I can babble all day and you guys can tell me to cool it, chill whatever.. doesn't matter I am not mad at you if you like the game well I am happy for you... but I think that I am not only speaking for myself.. but for many others who feel this game is done.. especially for CHs.. and YOU KNOW DEEP INSIDE.. that you are also sad.. I don't care how it happened what forced the DEVS to do this and who caused it... The game changed there is nuthing you can do and alot of time that was put into this game is gone forever.

So in other words, your "secret" is that the devs missed something and you're exploiting a hole in their conversion process.

That works until they patch it and then it won't work anymore. But good luck if you've got the DNA. At least some of us will have nice pets again -- until the hole in the system is patched, anyway.

6. What your just now learning not to trust what the devs say. What were you hit as a child multiple times in the head. If this is new to you. You need serious help. This is as old as the lieing politician. Why do politicians get away with it, because the public is always willing to be sucked in again.

7. Quote your own numbers SOE has the real ones, but most players I knew said if this CU got delayed again they were walking period. Most players were only playing in anticipation of the CURB. Not because they liked the way the game was playing. A huge mass of the public probabally hated that more then the CU.

8. I am personally luke warm on the curb. Some things I like some I do not. If what I posted tonight helps to make ch a little more playable for you thats good. If you expected it to be some heinous cheat for instant DB. Then shame on you. Lets keep this thread constructive. This I hate I love the CURB posting is now beyond passe. If you hate it leave. If you like it stay. Leave this thread open for any questions or constructive observations.

Umm...my friend, as I am sure most everyone here in this section of the forum is very well aware of I have been very verbal about this from day one. But I am sorry to interrupt your discussion (even though it is a BE discussion and not a CH one) But it all ties together now doesn't it?

soooo sad I detroyed all my old DNA couse I dont want to make meds and by dropping that I was able to get MTK MCH

Lol, thats the secret? i figured that out the first Day of the CU.. but then again, i am a MCH/MBE. I still have enough DNA to make about 20 more of these pets, and already got some waiting. Im also sampling my pre-CU pet deeds to get some more DNA. Getting a higher health is essential, but also trying to max out pet level, it was quite tough to get a level 69 pet, and it actually had lower health than a level 62 pet i made, but level 69 makes up for some health loss. Problem is that these pets have no usable resists whatsoever. Also, at level 55(69), the dmg of my pet which was listed: 785 max 229 min did not seem to be much higher than the generic pets we have now, but i agree it will have to be tested more.

I have to say that I am greatly disappointed in this secret. I'm still going to get killed first, so what good are they then? I'll try to geta couple but I'm more depressed about the state of CH's now then even before your announcement of something wonderful.

hmm just a couple cent's, Look at the Trade fourms and what do you see? Do you see what I see...........A song for the legends all the big time credit guys have held out big time look at Bria there flat dead easy, and so are other fourms and places. /gameover

I have a Gurreck that islike what is described, great HAM and great damage and only level 50. Sure it is my favorite pet and by far a great tank and damage dealer (if I want to get any weapon xp I have to spam specials to outdamage him, course, I am only just starting BH so my specials are only okay). But in the long run, he does not give me a distinct advantage. I am not uber because of him. He got his ass handed to him at the entrance to theGeo caves, andI thought I would see how he did against a CL 89 Krayt, he did not last long hehe. He also was beaten fairly soundly by Jagged Fang, even though he did get his licks in hehe. It gives me a little advantage, sure, but to be quite honest, we CH's need it. I am just starting to get back into a combat profession after being Master CH/Master Shipwright (damn SOE making it so artisan skills can be respec'd after I dump SW lol), so I have mediocre combat skills. Without a great pet like him I would be forced to hunt lower level creatures, and any creature below level 50 gives only 1 point of xp for me being combat level 60, so I would have a heck of a time finding mobs that my pets can handle and are not too low xp wise. Without a good combat profession to back CH up you are kind of in the pooper. They need to let us keep things like this and add even more so CH's can be a little more stand alone.

PVP aside, I don't think they want us to have an advantage. Take your typical 60ish pet (60-70) and you can defeat most lairs up to level 80, provided you have a nice companion profession to deal damage. That's pretty darn good in my opinion. Where we lack is PVP and I think this is the sticking point with a lot of people. CH is never going to be pet-does-the-work-while-we-sit-back-and-peck-at-the-target. Pets will always be our support and that's pretty much it. In PVP I don't see how pets can be effective as long as a CH can be killed first. If people come for you dragging pets on their pant legs the fight is over unless you can get the upper hand with your fighting profession. And that's where the problem lies. CH needs to be that second fighting profession that completes a template. Pets need specials like KD or berzerk when they see their master being targeted. They need to have that extra push that tells the opponent they can't quite ignore these pets and run for the CH. Once they add back in the specials it might balance things out a little better.

I think people are determined to miss the fact that the devs gave us what we as a community asked for. We screamed over and over and over again. Pets were our weapons. Well now they are weapons, and very related to weapons in the new system all pretty generic. It can no longer be viewed as a meat shield but like every other combo out there if you balance out your template well you can not only win from time to time but win consistently.

1. No single combat profession is good anymore standalone is a bad word.

2. Drop the damn rifle you need to have your character last long enough for your pets to have meaning. This will force players to choose let his two pets chew me alive while I take a couple minutes breaking through his high 1 on 1 defense profession, or turn eliminate the pets, and count on my regen to allow me to handle him.

3. Tested this with other players. The longer the fight lasts the more potent pets became. Thats where more ham comes in useful especially on two lower level pets.

4. You heard the devs say specials were comeing back, and that they would fix non registering resists.

5, BE pets should be better sorry, but that was a premise in the games startup documents. Crafter based economy. Crafters should generate equipment supperior from that found in combat. That means BE pets should be better. If you want to collect rares and elites thats your call. You have ample storage for them.
