Thread: Post-Publish 6: Running mobs increase
Well, I tried to take screen shots the second time but kiting three lizards in your living room makes that tough. lol I tried a lair of Dashers and regular Voritors. They do not seem to run as bad. The dashers and babies hang around but the regulars take off. They do come back when you attack the lair even though they are so far away they are a white dot that you can not target. I do not normally kill Voritors but one lair with around 20 to 30 in it seems excessive. They also do not seem to follow the lair spawn rule. I can not be sure of this because I was doing alot of running and gunning.

Strange. I did not see this on Test Center in the past weeks. For example I useda rancor, gnarled rancor, rhoa kwi pack leader, mountain dewback, forest slice hound, crimson razor cat. The mountain dewback ran like crazy, as always... but the others seemed fine. I'll check it out on Live tonight.
Another thing. Pets are following more closely...too close. You are often inside the body of the pet because it's right on you...
This is great. Just got done with a little hunting and I can kill anything without my pet taking any damage whatsoever past the first hit.
The painful part is harvesting when my pet insists on sticking his nose in my crotch. Particularly annoying with dewbacks, I had to constantly sidestep and click to be able to get a corpse targeted instead of my pet.
Good time to try soloing a krayt I think...
In fact, I think I'll go try that now.

You know, I love dews, but **edit**, they get too affectionate sometimes!
I was hunting Roba Boars and Blurgs on Endor most of the dayand they all run like CRAZY!I did notice, however, that when I use just one pet and keep my second as a body guard they didn't seem to run nearly as much. I hope that this is hotfixed tomorrow because as this is just plain stupid. Also, I have noticed that my **edit** pets are standing to close to me....."don't stand so...don't stand so....don't stand so close to me".

This problem has a easy solution.
When your pet is attacking andthe mob turns to run, command your pet to follow than attack, in rapid succession.
As soon as you told your pet to follow, the mob will turn back to attack your pet.
This prevents even bols, the notorious runners prepatch, from going very far.
You may have to repeat the follow/attack a few times, as in the whole time you fight the mob.
Sometimes mobs settle down and stop running, other times they can't keep themselves from running.
Except the mess is so bad atm that this simply doesn't work. I've been doing CH since day 4 of release and this is the worst it has ever been. Even if you are lucky enough to get the pet to stand head-to-head with the mob, you are totally unable to use specials because they still don't work properly and the macro work around causes your pet to move a bit, starting the whole stupid cycle of endless repositioning.
Someone really screwed up this time.

Do you leave food laying around your house? Maybe that's a new feature!
Greetings,
I have been fighting Arachne Queens and Widows this evening. My Gurreck Katie has been on the assist.
I usually send Katie in to attack the Queen and once she poisons, she gets the Widows to aggro her. I pull Katie back and watch the mayhem for a little bit then go in to finish them off.
Our pets, and/or their targets, are trying to get right on top of one another, which causes the other to run. Same problem we've always had, only everything has it now.
