nahhh its not a fancy carrion spat. it walks on 4 legs....looks kinda like buckwheat from Harry Potter 3 excpet for the body is lower to the ground.. like a reptile.... i think thats what the toy looks like

clearly some of you guys havent seen this creature yet. this will probably be the coolest mount in the game

forget the pre-ordwer crap is it tamable or a one time deal. if its like the speeders for jtl and a one shot deal then this is crap. if I decide to buy it a month from now it should be a tamable creature.
I dont care about people preordering anything, I care about new tamable creatures and if a new planet is coming out then this new mount better be tamable for all ch with the expansion pack to get and sell if they want to the player base.
If they do not allow it to be tamable then they again slap us upside our heads while laughing at us for begging for any type of content that concerns the ch profession.
This ticks me off, pre-order bonus pet for non ch, while ch are chasing non exsistent frenzied graul babies for over a year.
I wonder if it will be fully trained, why not, who needs a ch.
If its not trained and if its not a tamable baby on the planet then I for one will refuse to train them for anyone. even friends. Just when I start feeling like they actually care and my hopes rise they do something like this.
This isn't a good thing if its a one shot pet. If you believe it to be a good thing. then I have land to sell you.

it wont be a tamable creature on the planet. the creature comes from a totally different planet

There is another Tameable Creature that can be a mount...it is on Kashyyyk and called the Bolotaur. I posted another thread about this in here as well...it was written in the newest interview with the guy in charge of the expansion. It is a big powerful lizard with a fast metabolism (not sure why that matters in this game..but that is what they said)

You know... all it says is that if you Pre-Order, you'll be among the first to get one of these.
I'm guessing this is just a marketing ploy, and that if you're a CH you can go tame your own (Unless it's a BE pet).
In fact, the way that it is stated, it doesn't really say that you are GIVEN one... just that you'll "be among the first to receieve" it.
"Exclusive In-Game Item Offer: Pre-order and purchase the Expansion Pack to be among the first to receive your very own, Varactyl!"
Hehe, I don't know... I guess since it says "Receieve" I'm going to side with the idea that you are given one when the expansion goes live...
But it also doesn't sound like we won't be able to get our own.
Hopefully we'll get the official word on these questions soon...

i wonder if we will get to choose from a limited amount of colors...or will all Varactyls look the same? i want one either way but interesting to think about

Some pictures...
Boga and Obi-Wan (Hasbro toy).
Another Varactyl, apparently this is Boga too, except in the first picture (from Hasbro) it appear that Boga is more blue than green, same thing goes for the last picture (see link below), from the Episode 3 graphic novel.

Wel, if they give the pre-order munt to everyone down the road, they dam well better give me a flash speeder and a set of shades too.... not right to make SOME pre-order items only for those who pre-ordered, and then go make another available to everyone at a later date. Just my two cents.
