"Ancient Graul Baby... that would confuse me too much."
Lol, that's comedy.

The other day I got a tell from a Jedi who needed help tracking the Graul Marauder for her Knight Trials. A couple of my Guildmates and I set out the help this Jedi and run from the Imp Outpost to the Force Crystal Cave and back on Dant. While I didn't find the Graul Marauders, I was able to track a few Graul types and while running past a lair was aggroed by an Acnient Graul...
I figured I could outrun it, being a Master Ranger with all its TN benefits.
When that didn't work, I whipped out my trusty DX-2 (while still running away) and started firing! I had no traps on me to use...
Lo and behold I had taken it down!!
Having never encountered a wild graul before, I was pretty happy...
My qeustion to you as a community is "Are graul difficult or as a Master Pistoleer, I should be able to take Graul with ease?"

Since I can't edit yet...
No, I never did find the Graul Marauder...
the Jedi payed me 100k for my time andI tipped my Guildmates 25k each for their wasted time.

Dont know about pistols but most grauls are easy to kill, the only one to watch out for is the type begining with f as they are the only ones that deathblow.
As a master rifleman i have personaly killed a graul mauler lair in under 2 mins including all spawns from it.

You should tell a bio engineer buddy of yours about your achievment, he will probably forever like you
.
(Ancient Graul DNA seems to be liked very much by BE's, reactions you get from telling them that you killed one are comparable to the reactions you might get from a CH if you tell him you killed a screecher baby or a bull rancor baby

I was referring to an ancient graul and as bio engineers know the dna they can get from it someone probably has been able to get it :-). (and I seriously doubt that you cannot crawl up to a graul marauder with for example maskscent boosted with food and bio clothing, a graul marauder is a lower cl mob than an ancient krayt and I could *crawl* up to one safely without maskscent breaking, and yes your posture and some other factors *do* have impact on how good your camo/maskscent works from my experience).

Whoa..hehe..thread went off-course.
Well, I was a Master Pistoleer for a while and found not many creatures to be too tough to take down given the right equipment. I've taken downseveral Ancient Grauls (to the distain of a former guild BE), Anceint Bull Rancors, a Giant Dune Kimo, and many others. The higher level creatures do pose a challenge, but with strategy, quickness, and patience, you'll be able to take it down.
One set-up I used for my equipment was to put all my different pistols (5 dmg types to be exact)in the toolbar next to an /examine macro button. Hit the /ex button, take a quick glance at the lowest resist, and choose your weapon, all in a matter of seconds.

No, no renting :/. Only way without exploiting
Wow is that an exploit? I just thought the vendors stay up as intended but you loose the skills of changing the vendors and updating them (clothes, names etc) etc by surrendering merchant.
Hmm i dont think i know of anyone apart from the major crafters who have kept merchant and thats because they update their vendors regularaly.

I am not sure if it is 'officially' seen as an exploit, but imagine how you would feel if someone mastered Ranger and then droppped to become a stacker, but kept the harvesting bonus.

Thor,
Do you have a vendor? (Are you Merchant?) It might sound like a newb question, but can one rent access to a vendor ?
Thanks, Xin
