Think differently?
The Bull Rancor is not like other rancors and those who foolishly attack them without taking into account their plague strike pays for it with massive wounds. A Bull Rancor is one of the best pets for creature handlers to have and one mistake in attacking a Bull Rancor can easily send you to the clone center.
For a creature handler who is trying to master ch I think a rancor is a good creature to start experimenting with trying to tame as they are easy to find and difficult to tame as a novice. Rancors also still hold the awe inspiring sight that can be seen in the movie return of the Jedi. Especially the Bull Rancor that dwarfs the rancor in size.

They are the ultimate pet right now, and they are quite strong. But I can sadly say that they aren't as powerfull as they should. I did a test not too long ago and was able to handle 4 adults easily, even with disease ticks. I am TKM and when I get buffed, there really isn't much that can stand in my way except the high kinetic resist MOBs. But the Rancor is my favorite SW creature of all, and I will not rest until I find one! 260 lairs and counting...

Great guide, milteck! You've somehowmanaged to outdo yourself from the GPS guide.
One little nit-picky note, though. In The Courtship of Princess Leia, it's said that the rancors don't really like the Nightsisters and tend to run away from them due to the Nightsisters'mistreatment and lack of respect. Of course, it's one of the Singing Mountain Clan sisters saying this, so it could just be bias on her part.
In any event, the Singing Mountain Clan does have a close working relationship wth their rancors. Perhaps a note could be made to that effect? Again, just a bit of nitpicking.

Vert
I was thinking of doing an added story to this with my Jedi going into his origins of his creature handler background. Am writing it now and with the format I used to get my Bull Rancor field guide on here.

Excellent post, Milteck. A worthy successor to the GPS Field Guide. Let me know if you would like any help editing it.

Their disease definetly rules. This is the one reason I took TKA as a combat profession to complement my CH.

I see them as great pets, but notin PvP...
I can solo a full next of bull rancors... walk up to the next and spin attack the nest, about 6-8 rancors can come out and I will kill them all with basicly ease. This is without a stacked TKM. Justa TKM with Scout 4/0/4/0 and Master Medic.

Please!
Use normal font size. Completely unreadable to those who browse this at work, with low-rez screens.
(Imagine, the health care network at my work still uses NT4SP6, at screen rez 640x480. This means you can only see about 80% of each line, and have to scroll sideways.)
Mostly, the weird forum software is to blame, not adjusting line width to screen size.
P.S. I will read it when home, look forwardto readingthe content.
