Most important is not max damage actually but min damage, what is min damage of your crafted pet?

Unless BE's are able to craft new deadlier pets (thanks SOE for ruining my old elite BE pets with that half-azz conversion) or SWG raises our level to call to 80, we will be ineffective to a major point in PvP.
Soon as AS craft uber 8000 kinetic protection armor, chefs provide better food, and other goodies come along...we will have a hard time!
How do you think you razor cat feels when a 1100+ powerhammer is cracking it in the head or how does your towering Rancor feel being rooted and snipped to pieces by an elite rifle doing 1000+ damage?
Get the point?

I think if you look at it from a group perspective they may have better use in PvP now. If you come in with a group of 8, the opponents are first going to have to deal with the pets, then identify the CH, all the while dealing with everything else. Like everything with the CU it seems the solo warrior cutting through person after person has gone away. Maybe a truly experienced PvP'er will be impossible to tackle, but they usually are anyway, regardless of your prof. I am hoping that beinga MCH/MCM will offer great support to a mixed group of combatants. We'll see, but I am going to give it a try and see how it works. I never was a CH to PvP anyway so it is really no loss.

One Root shot. Step away a tad. Continue fighting. And this is for the ONLY guy who gets attacked. The rest of the gang just wiped out the CH.
The pet doesn't Break Root.

I've got a couple pets which have pre-nerf stats after conversion by level, but sadly only one is all grown up, however, it's mostly similar to the other 2 i've found, and im sorry to say it really doesn't help my DPS nearly enough in PvP that our SP commital would warrent. Against a few templates, it makes their bar move very slowely, but once they target the pet, even with 40 percent kinetic and energy resists with 8K HAM, it goes down rather quickly. (7 to 8 hits for everything but rifles and hammers, which kill them in 4 to 5)they don't die as fast as before, but still fast enough to not warrent it as too much of an annoyance to people
However, im glad to report none of my pets die in one hit to jedi anymore, and also withJedi's relateively low DPS, they actually last a good bit. However, since their of course jedi, all damage from my pets are compleatly negated so far with healing, which they MIGHT have to do every 40 hits by my pet. It's really rather pointless without specials unless your fighting some experimental template someone wants to try out, or unless your opponent for some strange reason is 100 percent offence and almost no defence, if that's even possible.

Ok I have no screenied but I can tell you that I had my rancor duel 3 different Jedi. the jedi all lost.
I also let him solo a few players levels 20-56 and he kicked ass.

If a player is below CL 60, chances are their not a compleated template, and it seems pets do excellent against people who PvP who are less than CL 65. Of course, i've never tested this personally, since you know, i've never actually seen someone near that low in PvP. (Your generally not going tofind people that lowlevel in PvP at all really.)What damage is on that rancor, if it's once of those 500-510 guys, then well, you've gotten an extremely lucky and rare conversion, I suggest you use it kill more jedi
. There's also a chance all those jedi were force powers jedi, and thusly having little defences, healing power, or attack....

Except we've heard nearly two years of refusals to fix the PvP crippling of CH's with 'It'll all be so much better for you in the Combat-something (revamp, rebalance, upgrade, schmoofest, whatever)' .... and of course that wasn't just wrong, we're more gimped than ever! It's just so glaringly obvious that CH never came up once in a design meeting, I mean not even during a coffee break in the hall .... every change just got dumped on us and oh, if it broke something essential to the profession, well "Too bad, it's not like you're a Jedi or something we can sell."

How do you make them tank? If i do a 1500 damage shot every 4-5 secondsthen the creature agroos me. And keeping them at distance with kd/root is nonsense because if that would work, why would i need tanks anyway?
