Thread: Question on Bull Rancor Missions

I just go with the normal 18,300 missions. Seen more than a handful of regular rancor babies, and only ONE bull ranc baby which died by accident. As a rifleman, it is somewhat easy to do. Latley been doing it without buffs or armor. Much better than when I was a pistoleer.

Master Ch & Master Rifleman is so cool, I dont use my pets much any more Mostly when Im hitting lvl 25 and up targets that are close together and im not buffed, With my ca's & aa's I have max speed and accuracy and can take a bull rancor down with my t21 with just a few mind shots, the only buff I use normally is a shot of brandy and sometimes some ahrisa I dont even where my armor, I keep my bike close to me
Heres a good tip that some may not know if you peace your target between shots your less likely to agro it and if you do the others shouldnt come after you. Also get as much camo and maskscent clothes as you can.
Oh and goodluck on finding baby bull's I ve hunted for weeks 5-6 hours a day and havnt gotten one yet, I had me BE make me a few big nasty pets.

Its a trivial fact really but i thought id correct the thought. The First spawns of a lair are not always adults. Ive come up on my bull missions frequently with a baby rancor standing amongthe bull and youth. Matter of fact if you recall when i tamed my first bull rancor the bull was in fact a baby standing among the adult rancor and youth with an untamed lair nor any corpses around. Though the baby spawns at inital lair spawns are uncommon its not entirely impossible. For this reason ive always tipped fellow ch to approach their missions with caution. Dont want to ride up to some adults and that baby bull and have them chase you only to lose the baby to some dire circumstance. 
Now as far as the higher level missions vs lower end its been my experience that in most og the higher missions their is still only one bull in the spawns while the rancors and youth numbers do increase. So if your hunting for a baby im sure speed is the key so id recammend taking the lower end missions of 55 or so with only one spawn each. You can clear these missions faster and with less risk and provided you dont get lucky on a baby; move on to the next mission.

Yeah magnum especially with the new agro. Wether it is due to the spawn or the fact that one of the adults was killed by something else it is possible to find babies first. But not at all common. It is alot like Vert saying the specials for pets work flawlessly, they do work if you mean they hit, they don't work if you mean are effective. A baby may spawn first, but the odds of it happenning make trying to hunt for one already spawned pretty pointless.

correct. I was just pointig out dont run up to those lairs wit ha baby your looking for just becasue you thiink the inital spawns are always gonna be adults. Approach each lair and scope em first. My bud lost his screecher this way the otehr night at a mission. He just biked right to it and jumped off and started adv strafing shots. Killed his baby

Now I can see why people get so excited about finally taming a bull rancor baby lol. Another day of grinding missions and no babies yet 
I did pick up a thune grassland guardian baby though yay
