Mottled Wrix would be my first choice (though you can't use the disease special till you have CH 4xxx right?)
Dune Lizard is pretty good too and has good energy resists if I remember correctly.

Think either unlucky or I was very lucky - can't particularly remember taming mine but think I was just wandering round Corellia looking for one, saw one, MaskScent, put on horrible orange taming shirt and got it first time 
He's just reached maturity tonight - he's very cute, but smaller than my old Cowardly Gurreck

Yes to tame any aggro baby you need "taming vicious creatures" skills, which you get from the taming boxes 2-4, or some BE clothes. If you have the money and can find a BE, have him make you a +25 shirt and you will have more luck taming stuff

Find a tailor to make you the shirt. BEs don't make shirts (unless they happen to also be tailors).
