Thread: CL 70 BE Pet; 9 Slots... What would YOU do?
I loved that trick that was discussed in another post, (think it was the "worlds greatest macro" thread) I have an alt thats CL1 and I pulled him out first, then Alt+tab out of game and logged off XP(switched users) then login my other toon (MCH) and have him befriend my CL1 alt and group with Bully-Wooly. 4537xp per noobie creature kill outside entha, basically leveled Bully in one day! Does anyone know the max number of ability slots on BE pets, I was really hoping from more like 11-12, but I'll live with 9
I'm not totally sure he's maxed although he stopped adding slots around 500 training points and now that he's up over 600,im losing hope!?I think I need to improve his damage, so I'm gonna do L3 marring, and maybe L2 Vigorous Health just to make him around 10k, L2 thick skin, and L2 Feint. then ill have good health, armor, respecable damage and a good measure of armor break. Then Ill have a CL1 with as much intimidate as hell take. I have Knockdown covered in a BH special, and if the CL1 dies right away I still have feint on the Bully. Thanks again Amethyst, keep up the good work!! I WILL be back!! And if ya need backup for DNA runs on Kash, let me know ![]()
At whatever level wild pets get 8 slots, do BE pets only get 6?
Another strategy I am toying with: Maxed out Level 68 Creature with two maxed out Level 1 creatures.
Theory, Aggro is directed at the damage dealer. Hopefully the Level 68 creature strikes first to gain this attention.
Insurance: Create a seperate attack and special attack macro commands for the CL68 from the two CL 1 creatures.
Why am I insisting on two ludicrous CL1 creatures? They are soley used to deliver combat states. Now, if you have access to all pet skills, here is the combat design:
CL 68 pet is the Tank. It carries the two basic favorites, in my case Knockdown and Bleeding attack favored for keeping my target from healing normally during combat, and allows me to get in a few extra shots.
A maxed out Level 1 pet has 3 training slots. You could feasibly make them a specialist for one type of attack at Level 3 OR break it down to a Level 1 and another attack at L2. Two attacks at L2 if your lucky enough to find a baby with an innate attack. Also these level 1 creatures can be trained in the noob spawn gardens outside of the city limits quickly and don't require a huge investment in time. I would prefer pets with innate skill precision attack to guarantee they have a better chance to hit their target.
CL 68 pet - Tank with Special attack 1: Knockdown, special attack 2: Bleeding attack.
CL 1 pet - Comedy relief pet in the face of danger - Special attack 1: Intimidate, Special Attack 2: Hamstring
CL 1 pet - Comedy relief pet2 in the face of danger - Special attack 1: Imperiling Feint, special attack 2: Staggering Attack.
The only attack not listed here is Eye gouge, and I don't think Blindness never worked on a level I could detect.
If you manage to lay on all six states on your target in the time it takes to bring it down, you have an effective combat team.
This assumes you are just watching your pets do all the work, which is amusing to some degree but doesn't take into account what the Creature Handler could dish out should they decide to join into the combat and the trick shots they can inflict combat states onto the target.
