Thread: CL 70 BE Pet; 9 Slots... What would YOU do?
Hehe, I was about to ask the same. Got a razor cat too
CL 69
Health 6513
Armor 4609
Damage 103-407
And I don't know whether I should make it to a damage dealer with low agro or to a tank pet with more HP / Armor and Agro Bonus
Questions please ![]()
1) Is the pet for pure PvE or PvP or will you use for a mixture of both?
2) Whatis the rest of your template?

Awe crap, the hard questions!
Mostly, PvE, with perhaps a little bit of PvP thrown in.
Template: MBH / MCH / CM 4-0-0-0
Given the way I can heal at the moment I am not too worried about the pet holding agro (why I have left Aggression off the list), and am basically looking for a high damage dealer.
For high end PvE content I worry about it's health and armour (I believe it is 4xxx, will check that in a few); even though I will maintain most of the hate, area attacks might hit the thing fairly hard. Need to test it against a few GDK's before it is fully trained, I suppose.
Perhaps I should look for a similar pet at CL 69 / 68? Then I can have a med droid out as well, and perhaps a CL 1 state platform pet? GAH! so many options....

Marring L3
Thick Skin L3
Hamstring L2
FleetFoot L1
PVP pet.
That does sound good; what is the benefit of Hamstring L2 versus L1? Greater chance to stick? Longer duration? (Is this in the stickies? I may be a bit thick...)
Are there any stats about Thick Skin available? Would like to claculate the approximate benefit versus simply adding more health...
Thick Skin L3 may be a good choice. CL 70 creatures were coming out with resistances above 50%. Without it their resistance is around 42%.
Vigorous Health will give 6548 (L1), 6956 (L2), or 7444 (L3) final health. A single level of Beastly Con may be enough of a regeneration boost. If you want to consider getting higher levels, try the L1 special out first and see if it meets your needs.
I like intimidate personally, as it is a 20% damage reduction. Depending on the pets roll, you may want to consider Aggression (L1), too.

First I would say your template needs to be listed.
1. If you have CM BC is of little consequence to you. Your heals more then cover that.
2. Your health is way too low to use this pet as a top end tank. Seriously a top end tank tips the scales at upwards of 11k. Give serious though to enbolden you have it use it get that boost.
3. When in doubt thick skin is the way to go nobody is really sure whether it works on BE pets. It reduces your pet damage taken and thus is more effective in a low health pet and yes you have a low health pet even with vig health L3
My advice is to have these abilities as a minimum
Marring storm L1, Imperiling feint in groups people love this since it stacks with other armorbreaks, Bleeding attack, Eye gouge, hamstring, knockdown, intimidation, thick skin L2 alot of players have armorbreak its catching on. Now you have a pet that can be a effective damage multiplier not just for you but for a group.
P.S. every state applied matters no matter how modest.

I'm in a similar predicament. I recently leveled up my CL69 Woolimander I purchased from Ame'thyst (spelling ?) who's a BE and CH. This lil puppy started out with a nice 9073 health and 369 max damage! It also now has 9 slots. I'm MCH/MBH CM 4000. I'm not a major jedi killer, but will be testing the waters eventually for some fun, Mainly PVE I was thinking of Vig health to take to a whopping 10660 health, and then thick skin 3, and maybe a level of imp feint and intimidate, or should I do a third level 3 and then get a CL 1 pet with a couple slots for the intimidate and feint???
/cheer
woolamanders are my fave (as you could prolly tell from my vendors, lol) and I haven't taken the time to level up any of my higher level pets yet... I'm always trying to plan out the combination of abilities to fit my play style. To me, that's what is so exciting and interesting about the new CH system... the fact that there is no one right way to combine abilities on a pet- you and I could do it completely different and come out with a completely different pet! The possibilities are (almost) endless
I guess I should drag myself away from my BE/DNA Lab (but I don't wannaaaaa!) and work some of my pets up. I'm still SO confused on for sure how many ability slots my pets will end up with, so I think I'll do a test and wait and see how many slots I get so I know for sure and can plan accordingly. I think for me, Aggression is important since I'm a BE as my secondary profession and can't really deal much damage. On my BE pets with 9k health, I think I'm going to focus on damage abilities, and focus on health abilities like thick skin or vig health for my high damage/lower health pets. Both I think I will put beastly constitution on for regen. Not for sure yet- let us know how it goes and what template you plan for your pet! ![]()
