Thats not true at all. No matter how long it takes them, I want them to do a good job, no matter how long it takes them. Would you rather have a multitude of bugs? or a well executed game plan? I understand the frustration... but people, please! for Petes sake, they are breaking their backs to get this to work. Just be patient.. it will come. Enjoy the game till then.
I don't know if you're new to the game or new to the message boards, but your name says that you're new.
Here's what you need to understand. This revamp thingy is over a year in the making already. SWG is loosing good players, it's loosing it's Star Warsy feel, the economy is inflating, and the game is getting worse by the minute due to these things. SWG is spiriling out of control. Sure JTL has helped a little, but it's a little too late. The only thing that can save this game is if the combat upgrade is done right and ......done soon. Yes, time is of the essence. Each day, guilds loose players, cities loose guilds, and planets loose cities. (I've already seen 2 cities dissappear from Naboo)
To add to the dismay, Jedi are running around like abunch of adolecent bafoons, and the Bounty Hunters are so nerfed to hell they can't do much about it. This ship is sinking and sinking fast.
Don't get me wrong, I like SWG, but it's loosing it's appeal every day. If this fix does come in a years time, it will surely be too late. If the fix is done right and by March, then there's a hope.
First off, I am not new. I have tried for 8 months or so to get it changed, and by policy I cannot.I am a veteran just like you, look at the join date before you wildly accuse people. I clearly understand what our profession is going through and what it has been going through since December 2003. If people are whining, complaining, and being abnoxious about game mechanics instead of working patiently with game CSRs, then they arn't good players at all, and I am glad they left. The game is not spriling out of control, in fact it is just about ready to take the next great chapter in its history. There will be balance. While not everyone is a nice person, Creature Handler will gain more of its dignity back. As long as there is a fresh spawn of newcomers, it is never too late to change what has been done. People leave by chocie, Sony never told them to go. A good explanation would be a fresh change of scenery: Sony, even myself expect a drop? why? there are many new MMORPGs coming out, you cannot leave out that factor. Jedi can run around and proclaim they are uber, I really don't care. The point is the game is changing for the better. It will take time and patience before the game can achieve its true potential. Stick with us if you want loads of fun when the revamp hits. otherwise, please stop bringing others down. There is hope for the future, things are looking up with the revamp. Again as long as new players come in with new ideas and RP styles, Star Wars Galaxies is not loosing its appeal. It is in my mind a fresh as ever. Again i don't care how long it takes, Development will do a good job on the revamp.
edit- Heh, in fact I have been longer in this game than you have.. Not that it really matters, just trying to prove a point![]()

I personally dont feel sorry for the devs because they are "breaking their backs" with the CUl. They broke the game now they have to fix it. In fact the only reason im still messing with the game is to see how the devs plan on getting themselves out of this one.

Look guy, I don't know how long you've been playing. I don't really care. I've had the game for a year now (Played since December 2003). I wasn't ranting on you. I was merely saying that the game is largely broken, and the proof for this is the fact that the Developers are working really hard to fix it. My main comment to you is that as I agree with you it's important to get it right, but it's equally important not to drag their customers thrugh the mud by making them hang on the thread of a promise that they are working on it.These words of promise, given by the devs need to be backed up with some action. Their promises are nearly as old as my account(s), and that's simply not acceptable to most people. I've lost many friends (in-game) becasue of the time it's taken for them to fix this....and the clock is still ticking! Your comment was that it makes no difference how long it takes....it just matters that it is done right. I said that it does matter how long it takes, as well as them doing it right. I don't think that's a rant my friend, sorry that you do. No rant was intended.
