Well, i think Milteck would be the best person to tell you about BEAST, as he is the founder.
In short, Beast is a global guild, with chapters on multiple servers (is it 8 now ?), with the focus on beeing a profession guild. Ofcourse this profession is CH 
Milteck can tell you more about it.

get an R3 unit with a healing box and stuff it full of stim a's

It allows you to be close to the critter or enemy for looting and allows you to apply stims to pet if necessary. The Ranger aspect allows you to track and find critters.
That would be my dream template ......except for the fact that i wouldn't be able to heal myself.....very usefull as i often hunt alone ...and unbuffed.....
You need no skills to apply a stimpack d on a pet, but you need to waist 15 SP to be able to use a stim A on yourself
.... i hope they fix that in the combat upgrade...
