You can use a pet stim, but if you don't have one, its handy. I found this out today when my overzealous baby male kaduu, Striker, didn't know when to quit against a beligerent fanned rawl. I'd thought that incap recovery wasn't working for me, so I used one of my own stims to bring him back. He just lie there, with full health and action, but no mind. That's when it hit me what it was for. I used the option, and he stood right back up.
It's useful if you are carrying stims only for sentients, which new CH's are very likely to do, since they are cheaper and heal babies just as easily. It's also handy if your pet takes a ton of mind damage quickly (like in PvP or against certain creatures) but has almost full health and action. Why waste the expensive pet stim when they can trick back to health?
So personally I think its pretty handy.

I guess in certain circumstances, at select times. Not all that great to be honest...

Yes actually it is, a Dewback I bought off someone. Has this anything to do with it?

Yep, mounts/mountable modelsare bugged that way. The heal doesn't "take" sometimes. Sometimes it will appear after you store it, sometimes after the little mini server refrash (that's that "channel information complete" you see sometimes), and sometimes not until the full server reset the next day.

Ah yes that makes sense and explains why I got it to work with H the other day. And not with Ellie later on. H must have been fighting something that attacked the mind pool that day.
Now Im trying to work out if it will affect H's sale of pet stims lol. Not that she has actually sold any yet because every time I gather enough Dath insect meat to do a factory run of pet stim C's H grabs the crate for herself and heads off hunting lol. Mutters sadly about never being a rich CH this way

okay so what about a pet thats been incapped via health or action and has plenty of mind...? I heal it and it STILL don't get up, use this "great improvement by Devs" called incapp recovery and it don't do JACK!! pet STILL lies KO'd **edit** is the point in it?!?Any heals I do don't show on pet's HAM, I have to store it and re-call it to see changes and get teh thing back on its feet again. What was wrong with the good old heal. Suppose they will add this "improvement" to players soon JUST to wreck it for all instead of CH's/Pet owners!!
