I believe 12 slots are available down to at least CL 67 critters ... I have 2 CL 67 Kamurith Defilers that both got 12 slots and are now fully trained. Since they started off with an innate Marring Storm L3, and the 12 slots let me train another 4 L3 abilities, they have 5 L3 abilities now.

The execution date is set ... the tortured screams of tens of thousands of beloved pets and their masters will resonate throughout the galaxies ... cover your ears and cry!

It might be that CL 65 pets only get 11 abilities, if that Bull Rancor has full slots. I haven't fully leveled anything over 20-ish, so I can only speculate from what others have said.

I got a class 69 young reptilian flyer with innate Agression L3 and it has 12 additional ability slots - so effectively 15 in total.

My 2 fully trained level 70 BE pets both only had 9 before fully trained

I will take a guess and say you had your veractyl before Publish 21. All pets in datapads prior to the CH changes have one less slot than a post-21 tame. This is true for both wild and BE pets (which seem to get 3/4 the slots of a wild).

If this is the case, then your veractyl has all the ability slots he will ever get. However, you can still train him for skillpoints until all 11 slots are filled.

I'm not sure how long my level 65 varactyl has been alive, I just bought it a few days ago. But it's been aged 24 times with 11 ability slots.

I have an ancient reptilian flier & a blood-frenzied boar wolf that I've only aged a couple times thus far to learn their inates. I'll try and age them more over this weekend and post how many ability stolts they mature with.
