First of all if it is that far back I do store it.But the point is I shouldn't have to store it. I shouldn't have to do a workaround at all. But one of the workarounds is being taken away. Poison and disease specials are not working. You can hear the attack if an attempt is made. You can see an animation. I am sorry you did not know this, it has been discussed before. So with my last post in this thread i will just say that my only point was to say that CH is broken and they are taking away one of our workarounds. I did not want to create some sort of battle. If no one else cares about this new change then so be it.

I use a looping macro for ch specials, it but it is not a big loss, i will just edit it and make it very very long. It does help in that the kittys keep using their specials though.

I'm a Ch and i don't see how this will effect me at all . i don't use macro's as a CH and i don't intend to as theres just no point.
True it might effect the other profession but then again having so many people afk while there macro's grinds for them is not really playing the game is it.
Play the game..press afew buttons and have fun coz thats what this game is for.

what? people use macros to get thier pets to do things? boy was i going the wrong way, i just kept typing sa1sa2sa1sa2sa1sa2sa1sa2sa1sa2 really really fast
. what? your telling me that the way that is clearly given isnt the fastest way, and a way that is not described enough in-game to be usable is? IM SHOCKED

ok people
The problem is that special attacks are not proven to work all the time. ALL special attacks not just DOT ones
If you recall wayyyyyyy back in december the only reliable solution found was a looping macro spamming the special attacks so you constantly fire them.
That is why people are upset. we have abilities that we are not sure are broken or not and they are takeing the only real fix away from us.
yes there is a way to just make a really long macro, but it seems with all the problems this game has recursive macros should be way down on the list of priorities.

Sorry if I come through as a total jerk/flamer, but this is truly my opinion...
I say GREAT! YAY bye bye recursive macros. PLAY THE GAME PEOPLE!. If you can't live without them, I couldn't care if you left or not. It would just mean the people who love this game are left. I'm tired of all this mindless negativity spewing from the same people continuously. I mean, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen and /cancel account.
my 2 credits.

What would a CH need with a recursive macro? Don't tell me, you're one of those "a" spammers, right?

Oh dear. This has all quite made my day. My alt over on Kettemoor has just done Master Dancer and is doing Musician right now. And I'm all for removing those damned recursive macros, it's no fun grinding with a room full of zombies and buffbots when you play ATK. Grrr I hate buffbots. The removal of looping macros is no real problem when grinding you just write a longer one, that's what copy and paste is for and hit it every so often. Hard work that lol. Its only a problem if you run a macro that lets you be afk all the time which is, checks, against the game rules.
I even, gasp, ground BE once with no macros at all .... but I did Chef with a non looping one, well it had a loop but I removed it. I have bad RSI in my right shoulder and I found that a looping macro where I had to add the resources still meant a lot of clicking and I had to keep dumping the macro to rest my shoulder so I took out the loop and restarted it for each item, it worked way better, I could do it at my pace, no pain in my shoulder and I still got through Chef really quickly. I think the only problems crafting wise would be with people using afk crafting macros.
I can't see it affecting CH at all, just write a long macro for any commands you want to spam and repeat it as needed. I got my dance macro up to about thirty seconds earlier when I re-wrote it, that would be enough for a CH pet command one.

actually with the exception of Radiants 2 mind buffers in the cor cantina I WON'T tip afk players and WON'T use afk docs... if I have to play to earn my way so too should they... that's my opinionbut everyone is intitled to thier own though...

No, it's not lag, it's called chance. Just because your poison or disease DOT has a 70% chance of sticking, say, doesn't mean it will stick seven times out of ten clicks. Each round is a different random 'dice roll'. Each and every DOT only ever has a 'chance' to stick. Even if that chance is 99.999% you could still roll a hundred rounds where you just happen to get that 0.001% miss.
As for losing your pet, here's a novel idea... Instead of driving back 500m to pick it up, try using the STORE command in your datapad. So what if you have to wait 15 seoonds to call it again, how long does it take you to drive 500m? My guess would be 15 seconds or longer.
It seems to me that we're not the ones missing out on the intricacies of this profession, especially if you're the one not using your store command for stuck pets.
Blah, blah, blah..The problem is that the special attack commands are still borked when you try to tell a pet to use a DOT special.

If you recall wayyyyyyy back in december the only reliable solution found was a looping macro spamming the special attacks so you constantly fire them.
They work 100% of the time for me. They don't always stick, but they always work. (Non-disease, poison or knockdown of course.)
The work-around back then was to issue a command to pull your pet out of combat then order a special attack. Macros made it easier to issue the multiple commands efficiently. Looping was never a part of it.
The looping came in from people that did not want to bother pressing a button set to a macro repeatedly, were applying a fix for running pets, or were misguided about what was needed to make specials work.
