I'm actually thinking of dropping Rifleman.

I dunno, I play both of the famed "nerfed" classes and do quite well. Pistoleer and CH. Nothing like sending a pet with a ton of hps in to take agro and shooting everything to oblivion. A good pet can stand thru many rancor beating on it long enough for me to kill them easily and I rarely get hit. Yulp CH sucks roflmao.

But Yonko your pet is not killing anything, you are. The pet, like CH, is a distraction and when you hit really tough things it's not much of a distraction at that. Good luck

....and then no matter how hard we get nerfed, we still keep CH because we are still some of the coolest characters on the game.

Yes, they do. When they do, no one places any weight on it.

And what does my attitude have to do with what i'm saying when i speak the truth? thats like that movie where the guy says we're screwed in a downtroden voice, and his friend gets on his ass so he says we're screwed like he just won the lottery. it doesnt matter wether you say it like its a good thing or a bad thing. Because even saying a bad thing like its a good thing doesnt make it a good thing. see watch!

/happy ch isnt good for anything right now!

there, now, do you think anyone feels better about ch because the emote on it was /happy?

You can convey an opposing opinion without being overly negative. If you then elect to add an excessive negative tone to your response, you're viewed poorly. Not for what you had to say but for the manner in which you said it. Your opinion is then granted less weight. Not my rules. Those are the rules ofcommon sense. If you fail to see this or understand my point then there is no way I'm going to get you to understand what I'm saying. At that point, you are already missing the obvious. No words orwisdom will get through beyond that.

As far as the point of my original post (Once more.. ..with feeling!):

I didn't say being a CH was going to get better. I said being a regular fighter was going to get tougher.

If you use creatures now and are thinking of dumping CH, then you may want to wait. Once the balance hits, the creatures you take for granted now, might be more useful. True, they will be the same then as they are now, but every little bit helps. Don't measure their usefullness now. After the balance, the game will change in many ways.

Everyone can do what they like. I'm not here to "tell" people what to do. I just tried to offer and opinion based on my thoughts on what's coming. Listen to it, don't listen to it. It doesn't matter one way or the other.

Truisms are true, hold on to that! The solid world exists, its laws do not change. Stones are hard, water is wet, objects unsupported fall towards the earth's centre. With the feeling that he was speaking to O'Brien, and also that he was setting forth an important axiom, he wrote: Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.

I think we're going to see a return to the gold old days, armour is getting nerfed, buffs are getting nerfed, food anddrink are getting nerfed, the only thing to tank hard hitting mobs is gonna be 10k HAM Light Armour pets. We're going to see a lot more 4400 creature handlers.

Now I'm not sure whether thats a good thing .

Geeees, how stupid are most people ...

No the combat rebalance will not make CH more effective, and yes our pets will take the same beatings as they do now ..... BUT and thats a big BUT everyone else is being brought down to our level ( supposedly), so beholda simple insight into the future ....

If everyone istheoretically at the same combat level those that have good pets or even any pets will last longer than those without. Ovbiously the better the pet, the longer someone will last in combat or the less damage they will need to cause to the target as the pet is also doing damage.

SO CH DOES NOT BECOME ANY MORE EFFECTIVE, PETS DON'T BECOME UBER KILLING MACHINES, BUT THEY ONCE AGAIN BECOME VIABALE ADDITIONS TO COMBAT, WHETHER IT BE PvP OR PvE. Stop bitching about what was,it's gone, was far to effective and made the game far too easy, as did the rest of the so called UBER professions. Soon hopfully everyone will be at a similar level and once again the game might be a challange.

the above post should make no sense, should be offensive, and should get flamed. the ideas contained herein should be absurd and insane. If for some reason the above post shows compassion, intelligence, sanity, or kindness I highly suggest you run like hell, a major change has just ripped through the world.

I am really looking forward to the revamp because I think it will bring a lot of master ch back who before gave it up to de better in pvp. I am working on Master riffleman, master ch, and swordsman combo so will have two professions with great mind hit capabilities.

Just keep in mind though Jedi will be the ultimate pvp and doesnt matter what else is out there the a high lvl jedi or sith will be the best.

you can tell me whatever you want, I will not believe any single person talking about the upcoming Combat Balance

no one knows, soI'llwait and see (and enjoy)

Anyway, I think I will not drop CH before month, I like my pets too much (even if this does not r0xxx) and I like wandering around, far from civilisation and polution (damn speeders, they make too much noise )

I think stacking is going to get nerfed to the point where you only receive the skill mods for the weapon you are using. If that happens there'll be no point in investing skill points in a secondary combat prof, so I think we'll seea lot more templates with a combatprof and a"utility" prof, eg Doc, CM, Ranger or maybe even Creature Handler.
