I made a baby Kusak for a friend of mine last night - and I swear to god it was the dumbest pet Ive ever seen. It took me around 30+ tries to teach it each command.
Now you are exaggerating!
1.) BE'd pets always train first time - no "Your pet doesn't understand................."
2.) The maximum number of attempts you need to train a wild pet are 4 - the 4th. train is always automatic.
3.) The repeated train requirements for wild pets is amusing for the first couple of trains. After that it isan annoying, RSI inducing timesink that does nothing but piss people off. I'm with you totally folks - it really needs to be got rid of since it adds nothing.
If that statement about training problems were in any way true btw jhh - I'd suggest you have serious synchronisation problems!
I've found that BE pets you make yourself always train, but ones that are made by someone else often take repeated attempts to train commands to.

But with a wild pet, a medium to master level CH can easily take 40-50 tries to fully train your pet.
This just seems totally unecessary to me and a huge annoyance!
I refuse to believe that it would be difficult to change the percent chance of a successful command train to 100% in the game mechanics.
Ahh! So that's what he probably meant!
And I absolutely agree totally.
Given that the BE'd pets you train yourself train 100% (albieit those made by yourself - of course I make my own pets so wouldn't necessarily have noticed the fail on others) removing this would appear to be straightforward.

they still learn faster then SOE and Devs.......
oops was I thinking out load again darn it
Much faster than SOE or the devs, who seem to be incapable of learning from their errors at all.
One of their least endearing traits.
