Thread: Your pet doesn't seem to understand you...

C'mon already..

We're gonna train it until its trained...why every command 4-5 times for decent CL pet?

At training 4 or master we should get a command that trains ALL (pre-set) commands with a single training command. Call it "autotrain" or something.. give us a place to set autotrain values and let us hit the autotrain command, while keeping the option to singly train specific commands for the tactical people.

I tame 8-10 pets at a time to sell and it takes easily an hour or more to train 8 Maulers of Biles. Lower CL pets seem to train faster, i.e. less failures, but its still a painfully tedious process.

Master's dont get exp for training..heck even increased levels of training skill have no effect on training efficiency.

I know, in order of priority this should be issue #73 but since were talking to a brick wall anyway, lets throw this on the list.

I think the devs got banned from the Profession Boards anyway...

The experience reward givenfor higher level pets isa miniscule difference from lower level pets, especially when you consider the difference in the effort required. If you're going for experience from taming and training go to Rori instead of Dathomir.

I think they're talking about masters training pets. Masters don't need the xp at all.

I agree, along with pets acting stupid at server boundries and getting stuck, this is one of the most frustrating things about CH. Giving us /commands to train pets should help, but a MCH should hardly ever fail training a pet.

At master ch you should be able to do it with 1 command.

Gah I'm sure this has been addressed before, but I just needed to vent a bit.

What is the point of a pet not accepting the initial training commands? It's not like there is any danger or consequences if the "pet doesn't understand you".

All it creates is repetitive stress syndrome clicking train multiple times for each command.

I love the CH profession but this drives me crazy. Sometimes I actually groan when I see "You have successfully tamed the creature", because now I have a couple minutes of clicking and typing.

I know what you mean.. I use "Ctrl+ UpArrow" whenever it doesn't learn. Then I slap it. It learns after a while

I honestly cant seea reason for it other than for added effect. It makes it seem like you are actually doing something when you have to retrain a command over and over again to get it to stick.

I made a baby Kusak for a friend of mine last night - and I swear to god it was the dumbest pet Ive ever seen. It took me around 30+ tries to teach it each command.

Hehe, sure seems that way sometimes. It takes a maximum of 4 tries per command but if you get a dumb pet that takes 4 tries on every single command then it can take a long time to teach all the commands. It is very frustrating. Just another time sink to keep us playing the game longer.

I am a MCH and have often taken more than 4 tries before a successful train. It is a random number thing and I do not believe there is a maximum number of attempts.
