Dont be lazy, i rolled my level 52 hilltop gurreck 1 level today in about 1 hour. how many xp you ask? 252,000! And now I have to do it again!

Now you've just made me very afraid for when I start working on my level 69 pets

Hehe yeah i hear ya there, my level 65 surefoot brackaset i plan on using as my mount, but it is gonna take like 365k or more to level him even once. But i have found doing level 80 bol missions on dantooine nets me 6500 (with inspiration buff) if i dont attack. All it takes is finding a group (or starting your own).

Does inspiration give a bonus to our pet's XP?

Yes it does, your pets xp is based on CH xp fars as i can tell.

The only thing I can say is that I must have turffed a few CL1-3 creatures with staggering attck L1. If you get fed up with one creature, as I have with a juevi langerlast CL40, just turf it and get something lower level. One thing I realized is that you can't post these pets on the bizzare for sale, I thought I had a good marketing concept to post untrained pets with low levels and common traits for 15-20k for those CH's that are having a tough time getting them or just don't feel like looking for one on that day.

Here is my "Twilite Zone episode" from last night. :-)
Pre pub 21 I tamed a CL10 CuPa for a friend, grew it in my datapad and mounted it for him. Last night I was going to train it for him to get the training points and slots. Post pub 21 I have tamed and fully grown a carrion spat, and if I remember correctly it took about 8-10 roll-overs for it to get fully grown.
The CuPa takes 14200 XP for a roll-over, and gains 8 training points each roll-over. So I start out, and everything is going great. The first 3 roll-overs opens a training slot, and I'm thinking "lets see if I can unlock number four or get Fully Trained, whichever comes first". After 10 roll-overs, nothing. I keep going and after 25 roll overs without gaining additional training slots or getting Fully Trained, I call it a night. Then he had a total of 200 training points, which I never will be able to use up with 3 slots. I think teaching a L1+L2+L3 ability will take something like 91 points.

A little update to my story.
The moment I trained the pet 3 abilities he changed to "Fully Trained", and the extra training points disappeared. So it seems the 3 slots I unlocked was max of what I could get on that pet, and that I basically trained him for 22 roll-overs for nothing. :-)
Well, live and learn.

that's odd. i have a level 10 wild cu pa that i've trained 2 L1 abilities to, and he's listed as having 2 trainable abilities left. i wonder if after i train him one more he'll change to fully trained like yours, that would be a bummer since it tells me i have 2 left. but me getting 4 and you only getting 3 on the same pet seems odd and unfair too.

Throttle's pet was a pre-21, which seem to have one less ability slot than post-21 wild tames.

I cannot confirm, but a BE/CH was saying that their BE pet had two less slots. I do not know if it was a pre- or post-21 pet though, or if that matters.

It could be worse! I had to rollover a CL 65 boar wolf 5 times to get its ability...and now I don't even remember what it was but the thing wasn't microscopic when I was done!

Update - the Huurton has now rolled over 14 times, has seven training slots, a whole bunch of training points,is a captainin the imperial navyand can speak 6 languages.

But it still hasn't taught me L1 Bleeding!!

I use it all the time in grinding groups going up against lvl 80+ lairs. I've used it grouped and ungrouped, and start every one of it's attacks with the special. It's taken on bounties with me, and even ventured most of the way through the Blackscale compound.

What an earth am I doing wrong? The notes say you have to use the pet in combat, and the little dog is practically a veteran! Nowhere does it say that the pet actually has to get the kill itself.

It makes me a little reluctant to try and learn Imperiling feint from the lvl 44 Roba I tamed, it will probably be the size of a horse, and owna successful business in starship components before I get that ability.

ok i think i did something wrong but i learned L3 agression before 2 xp roll overs off an accient reptialian flyer
i am MBH so i been using my pet to take agro off me and take hits for me, i hate to do that to the poor thing, well the only thing i was killing with it were bountys and black suns intill i decide to check wich speacials i had, and it said L3 agression but i never got that massage, and i think it had been a while since i learned it since i had just logged in and lunched a porbe droid, so i think i did something strange with it
oh and he was group with me the whole time since my bountys are lvl 81+ and black suns are lvl 88 and 89

could it be that the constant whiping in and out of pets might work to get their abilaties faster?
