Nothing new for all the vets out there - but well worth repeating for new CH's.

To get the "pet attack by name" thing to work you can train the pets with different attack commands (I commonly have a high level attack pet out and keep a low level defence pet by me to take the heat in case of adds).

If Horace has "attack" as a command and Henry has "at2ack" then you can set up 3 macros:

/tellpet attack - Horace attacks

/tellpet at2ack - Henry attacks

/tellpet attack; /tellpet at2ack - both will attack (reemember, you can put multiple commands in a macro).

Also, you will save yourself a lot of grief by macroing every command you can train your pets. Put the buttons on thier own bar and you can use this to greatly speed up training and ensure the commands are consistant (and unique!).

Remember too that there is no chance of failurein retraining a command once learnt by wild pet - some people use a single command button to "initially train" then reset the commands to what they actually want them to be. (This may not be so useful with the new training box).

When you get creature management 3 you are able to have two pets out. Keep in mind that you don't exceed your pet lvl of control. Mine right now is 23. I have a lvl 13 and a lvl 10 pet.
To see how many pets you can store in your Datapad, in your Skillmods Window, look for "Stored Pets." (At Master the Maximum number of pets that can be stored in your Datapad is Currently 20)

To see what level of pets you can call and possibly tame, look in your Skillmods Window for "Max Level of Pets" (At Master, the limit is CL70. Currently there are no tamable Creatures in the Wild with a CL higher than 65 but BE pets can reach up to 70)

Added Note: Unless you are a Master Scout/ Ranger, you may wish to refer to http://www.swgcreatures.com/ for determining the CL and/or Ferocity of certain Creatures.

To see whether you can tame a creature of a certain Ferocity and Aggressiveness within a given level, look in your Skillmods Window for "Taming of Wild / Viscious Creatures"

To see how many pets you can call at one time, look in your Skillmods Window for "Additional Pets" (At Master the Maximum number of pets you can call at one time is 3. The combined Creature Level of mulitiple pets called cannot exceed your Maximum Level of pets. i.e.- At Master you can call two CL35 pets or 3 CL20 pets, or 2 CL25 pets and 1 CL20 pet, but could not call 3 CL50 pets, etc.)

First train your pets and give them the same name. I named mine Fido.
Then create a simple macro.
Macro name : Attack
Macro symbol : what ever you would like
Marco code :
/tellpet Fido Attack
Since both pets are named Fido they both attack.
Place macro in your UI slot.
You can make your pet attack, group, follow...etc by using this.

Why even use a macro at all???

Just saying "attack" does the EXACT same thing you're describing without all the hassle.

Anakin: Master, I think my lightsaber is getting dull. Its not doing nearly as much damage as it used to.
Obi-Wan: O.k. when we're done showing the youglings around the temple, we'll stop by the bazaar and you can buy a new crystal. I hope you've got a couple million credits saved up for this.
Anakin: WHAT?!!?? I don't have THAT kind of cash!
Obi-Wan: Well you could try sharpening it on these younglings. I've got a headache and all their questions are driving me NUTS!
Anakin: hmmm.... Sharpen my lightsaber on younglings...... hmmmmmm.....
Obi-Wan: uh, that was a joke Anakin. I'll spot you the cash for a new crystal THIS time, but next time you're on your own.
