A verry good way to get tons of ch exp around or up to 900exp each kill . You would need to get a good group or if you wish to remain alone use your best pet. Also get your self buffed and head for yavin4 and see if anyone is at the geno lab cave top . Most of the time good groups will camp there if the spawning time is really good and if you can get into that group . You would earn alot of good creature handler exp.
If you dont feel like going there goto Dantooine and kill pikets .

I don't know about that, but I'm wondering how the XP for a fight is figured out ... I'm seeing some odd things. Does the stronger pet gain more XP from the same enemy, to a point?

As far as I can tell there appears to be some sort of max cap based on CL of attacking pet. There may also be a cap based on your max level.
I've noticed that using babies to try and max the exp gain doesn't work, you have to find the right mix of CL to get the max exp from each kill.One of the reasons I'll use 2 pets over 1, this way I can take on creatuires that would give my one big pet 1exp but my 2 smaller pets get 60-80exp each.

I used to go on big game hunts (back when CH was wanted on hunts) and I would take a little spinflap soldier and when the target was near dead send in the "air force" only needed to get one hit before the mob died and with the mob focused on the rest of us the little bomber would always get a hit in and almost never get incapped. 1500 xp per kill too. Not bad for hunting. I think he was 98/100 when I finally had to let him go for space for upcomming mounts.

I am only a master marksmen and i have recently obtained the novice ch.
What is the best (fastest) way to get ch exp?
I have recently been keeling Ikopi for about 91 xp and kaadu for 150 xp.
How can I gain more xp, faster. Remember I am only a master marksmen and would like to do only solo missions.
Thanks

Your pet only needs to get one attack on an enemy and you'll get full XP. You could try animals that aren't social, meaning they won't all aggro when you attack one of them. Falumpasets are good for that and if you can get your pet to attack just before the Falump dies then you'll get full pet XP. Get yourself buffed if you can and fly to Naboo, go hunt Falumpasets and your pet XP should rocket.

If you have some money, you can go to the geo caves on yavin (the tickets are real expensive at 3k each, so only go if you can spare it). I've been leveling there with my cu pa baby B. Wait till a bunch of jedi are there afk leveling and make a macro of your own to get 1 attack in on each thing they are hunting. I use this one and sit talking to the other ch's:
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
/tellpet B a;
/pause 1;
/macro hunt;
This gets you a ton of xp, but if you get attacked you will die. Use a ranged pet (cu pas) to lessen the chance they attack you.
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
/tellpet B a;
/pause 1;
/macro hunt;

do this, and also, when you are out running, make a note to check for babies at every lair you pass. Goto swgcreatures.com and make a list of all non agresive babies on the planet you are hunting that are with in your taming level and when you see them, tame them, train them and release them. get about 400-500 xp per tame/train/and release

this works extremely well, you can get master in 2 days.
