Thread: New MCH ability?
How's that for an idea?
OOoarrrgh, get oorrf moi laaaaaand!!!!!
Actually that is a great idea, you pull 2 pets out of your data pad select cross-breed, both pets disappear and you get a new baby...very cool. that would actually make master worth it. Unfortuneatly that idea is too good and original, the devs will probably just move trick one to master.
that has to be the funniest thing i've read on the forums to date....to bad it's true...

I think the BE profession would have a problem with that![]()
Thats putting it mildly.

In my opinion BE already outclass Ch in everything, so I thought a balancing act was needed.
(plus I don't like BE very much)
that's silly. BE and CH fill different roles in the game, BE can't outclass CH because it's not the same kind of profession. that's like saying commando outclasses weaponsmith. nobody says you need to rebalance weaponsmith because they're not as powerful as commando, or visa versa.
I can't understand CHs who don't like BE. BE exists as a support profession for CH. more than half their skills are dedicated to making things for us to use. they're purpose is to help us.
Isn't that what BEs already do?
My .02cr ideas:
MCHs should have an extra optional attack skill they can teach their pets, selectable from four or five different attack skills (thus, every creature is unique based on how the MCH decided to train it). Go For The Throat (health damage), Hamstring Slash (action damage), Maul (mind damage), Rend (acts as a negative armor buff for a set period of time), and ???
MCHs should have the Domesticate special ability. When used on a creature, that creature can be added to a Corral (craftable either by an MCH or by an architect). A domesticated creature could provide a steady supply of one type of resource, like a meat/bone/hide/milk harvester. The BEs would be knocking down your doors for these guys. This would also be a good way to display special pets that you don't want to use in combat.
Selective Breeding: Similar to your idea, but it doesn't duplicate what BEs do already. You could take two creatures of the same species, combine them, and have the chance to get one creature of higher power (their "offspring"). Right now, BEs generally create creatures of LOWER CL than what the DNA sample was from; MCHs could create creatures of HIGHER CL than what the parents were (2 bull rancors???). Again, this would create a market for you with the BEs; having access to that kind of DNA would be valuable.
