They do not appear to be effecting the pet, when it is tamed.

For instance, Marring Storm increases the damage listed. On pets that have this as an innate ability, it would appear that the bonus is not present. Only the Triggered commands seem working from the moment that the pet hits your datapad.

This means that people will still find use for pets without abilites and BEd pets, since a 10% ish bonus to BE pet damage, along with a 25%ish Health increase, will womp on most tamed pets.

Interesting........

Wonder if that is a bug or how they intend it

CM's are like nukes. You have them just incase you need them, but as soon as you start using yours the other guys start using theirs and everything goes to hell-PyschoticChipmunk -The First line of the Riflenomican.

FlewtB was trained to 12 Maturity Levels, with Fleet Footedtaming. 4 Trainable Ability Slots and 84 Training Points.

Trained FlewtA with 4 Abilities, for a grand total of 4 Abilites

Trained FlewtB with 4 Abilities, for a grand total of 5 Abilites

Doesn't this seem a little off?

That means with a high level tame, you have a chance to havea freeL3 ability. That could spell doom for pet-making BEs. Most of thier money is made on level 70 pets.

Not when you take into consideration that the majority of the Innate skills, when they are working correctly, will turn well made BE pets into fleshy machines of death, especially L3 Marring Storm.

Something to keep in mind about each level of an Ability......

They more then likely will stack. So, lets say that you have a BE pet that has 400 damage. Add L1 Marring Storm to bump it up to around 430. Then add L2, and L3......

I'm beting that a L3 Marring Storm BE pet will hit 500, if not more.

I find if you store the pet first, then bring it out, the ability starts to function. But i don't have all the abilities to test if that works on all or not.
